Well i did the swap so now i am the new owner of a nice neat rs30.

This is my 6th zed And i still own 3 of the. Does that officially make me a zed freak. I do hope so lol

I knew this was going to happen! hehe. Just a quick question, has anyone ever changed those armrests from white to black or have they always been like that? Geez that reminds me of my first 260; colour, trim except the condition...mine was just bog with some added rust! Well done..

i was wondering the same thing about the arm rests. I dont think they look to out of place being black

I dont know if the cloth inserts are origonal either.

No the arm rest are correct all the 260z that I have seen with white interior (which is not many not that common of a interior colour and I have only seen it on the blue cars) have the black arm rest - here is a pic of another 260z in Oz with white interior

 

I can't recall but I think the same is the case with the 240z - anybody with a 240z with white interior (I did have some pics of a red 240z with white interior on my PC but I deleted them to make space...so can't confirm 100%)

 

Come to think of it - I think all 260z have black arm rest even the tan and brown interiors

yeh i was not a fan of the wires. The hot wires are tmporary to untill i can afford somthing a bit nicer.

I still ave the origonal rims I might put on it yet

looks nice, I thought the previous rims were pretty dam pimping though! fwiw my car has a cream interior with black arm rests, I have seen one car in aus that had matching cream armrests, and personally think the black breaks it up nicely.

The 260Z Coupe came in New from 1974 -1976 with White interior and Black armrests but the 260Z 2+2 were similar but changed 1976/77 and came in New with White interior and White armrests, Lynton

I always ummned & arred about headlight protectors, now after seeing those pics , I cant believe how much it suits your zed...maybe its the blue colour.

hmmm Im probably the only person on here that also like the driving lights !

Id love to see a pic of intergrated driving lights into a front spoiler but done nicely.

I like the head light protectors. I would not have gone out of my way to put them on but seeing they are on already they can stay.

I dint think the spot lights look out of place and with the dull headlights that the early zeds came with they are also functional

Yesterday i had a bit of spare time so i repainted and polished the rims.

I also replaced the front brakes and found that they wont work if you put the right caliper on the left and visa versa lol.

(Note)

For the people who don't know, air is lighter than brake fluid so will settle at the top of the caliper.The bleeder nipples need to be at the top of the caliper. If the bleeder is at the bottom it wont drag the air from the top of the caliper to the bottom.

Some one corect me if i am wrong :?

I was at the auto electrician trying to find a could for my Triton when this porsche pulled in beside me.

i took some time out to play with this one tody

The sterio has been cuting in and out as it pleased so i thought i would take a look. It seemed that the previous owner didnt know what electrical connections or a soldering iron are.

All the wires where just twitched together and left. Thank god he found the electrical tape. I am surprised how much more bass it is pumping out now i have soldered all the connections.

Now I have to work out where my high beam has gone. It stays on low beam when flicking the switch to high? that i will leave for another day

I am happy to say that I just regained posetion of my old 260z 2 seater. As seen in the pics above. more pics to come. this one will be left mostly stock. I am happy that since I owned it last it has had the airconditioming fixed.
