Administrators gav240z Posted November 7, 2019 Administrators Posted November 7, 2019 (edited) Hi Folks, I received a letter today informing me that Alex known by username @Brabham passed away last December, the letter was from his mother asking for advice on selling his Datsun related items. Alex was doing a tafe course in panel beating as was I and we met in person quite a few times. He was a lovely guy and I'm very saddened to learn of his passing. I'm sure others were wondering where he had gone as he hadn't posted in quite a while here. I know he was well liked by quite a few of us. So I'm sorry to bring this sad news to you. https://tributes.smh.com.au/obituaries/24380/alexander-kelty/ Edited November 7, 2019 by gav240z link added. C.A.R. 1 Quote
PeterAllen Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 Very, very saddened to hear this news. I was a Eastern Creek in 2013 when Alex had the first drive of his newly acquired Historic Formula Vee. We shared stories of our travels to Pebble Beach and Laguna Seca. Unfortunately we had lost contact in recent years. He was well qualified and worked as an Economist and had a great interest in historic racing. My sincerest condolences to his wife Rachel and family. RIP 'Sir Jack'. HS30-H and gav240z 2 Quote
my_mad_z Posted November 8, 2019 Posted November 8, 2019 So sad to hear. So young! Condolences to his family. Quote
ZED660 Posted November 9, 2019 Posted November 9, 2019 Very sad news, I met Alex through Z's as he was restoring his 2+2 and used to bump into him at Historic meetings when he was driving his Formula Vee. I last saw him at Phillip Island in 2018 and he was quite chuffed as he had met up with the chap who originally raced his car. A very nice young man, condolences to his family. Geoff gav240z 1 Quote
