240z71 Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 (edited) Hey guys Ive got the original metal splash guarf sitting around off my car and as im going to use something different i no longer need it. These are getting very hard to find now and i thought it might as well go to someone wanting originality in thier build. Its in good condition with no rust or dents but could do with a paint. If someone is interested in it from melbourne i could help with delivery but if not im happy to help with a courier to elsewhere. Feel free to ask any questions. As for price theres not much of a market to base off so throw me an offer via PM and we can negotiate? Thanks Matt Edited July 9, 2017 by 240z71 gav240z 1 Quote
GV260 Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 Hi Matt. What year is your car as I think this is the later version of the original splash panel as it doesn't have the drain holes (ie post '73)? Thanks Graham Quote
cracker Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 Appears to be a 260z version. Sits lower under the car to allow for larger rad support frame, and doesn't have vent holes, as mentioned above. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted July 11, 2017 Administrators Posted July 11, 2017 I thought the earlier ones had no holes in the rear? Pretty sure Matt's car is a 71, I've got a few parts off him so far. Quote
240z71 Posted July 11, 2017 Author Posted July 11, 2017 Hey guys Gavs right as far as my car being a 71. As for what year the splash guard is off i have no idea and ill let you guys conclude. My car was fairly original so i just figured the was correct to my car but im no expert. My car has a 240z radiator support panel on it and this fit on the car?. Thanks Matt Quote
twoforty z Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 I think the 260z version had a hole to access the drain plug of the radiator. This looks 240 to me Quote
gilltech Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Looks early 240 to me as no holes. Early 260 eg. mine, is much the same but with several large vent holes in the rear portion of it. Then there's a later 260 profile to suit the dished front rail of the later style radiator support. Quote
AndBir Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 ..Early 260 eg. mine, is much the same but with several large vent holes in the rear portion of it... 05/74 delivered 260z splash guard : Quote
GV260 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Thanks all for the clarification. PM sent Matt. Quote
