curtis 240z Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 After some serious consideration I am offering my "early" 240z for sale. #295 is fairly original for its age and has had paint and interior repairs like most have in there life. It still has the original matching numbers engine and early gearbox. The engine runs well, the gearbox is a little crunchy into second (most early gearbox's are) but still changes smoothly through the other gears. the engine bay is fairly original including the four screw carbs, the original metal fan comes with the car. The body is good for an early car with only minor rust in the doglegs, the firewall, hatch lock down panel and floors are all very clean. the paint is patina'd for the age but still presents well. There are a couple of dents in the passenger side rear quarter but that is the worst of it, there is no evidence of any major accident damage. The car has the original fender mirrors, diamond tip antenna, and an aftermarket factory style front spoiler. The interior still presents well for the age, the seats and carpet have been redone at some stage, the dash does have cracks. All the guages still work and inside still retains the rare pieces like the early steering wheel, gear nob, centre console and all the other hard to get bits. I just drove the car to Sydney and back for the 2017 nationals which was close to a 2000 klm round trip and it went perfectly and stood out on the road. Given the current market and the fact that early matching numbers cars are scarce and the cost to restore a rusty car properly will cost close or more than $100k, its been difficult to determine a price. I am not in a hurry to sell my pride and joy and am not interested in offers below 50k. If you are genuinely interested please email me at: curtis1989z@gmail.com Quote

CBR Jeff Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 Nice looking Z Curtis, a good example of an early car. Good luck with the sale and from what the photos depict its probably a fair ask of mid $50's. Jeff Quote

Merlin240z Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Great example, super original (shame about the sunroof thou), tidy and well worth the $50k I would buy this if I had the space to hide it from the misses. I think 2 would be over the top in her eyes. Hope it goes to someone that does not mess with it. Quote
