Simestime Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Hi im about aquire a c210 sedan and wondering what they go for these days. It has an l26 which i dont think is standard and a bit dinged up but is rust free! Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted February 17, 2017 Administrators Posted February 17, 2017 $2,000 tops. Quote
Simestime Posted February 17, 2017 Author Posted February 17, 2017 Really!i thought they would be double that Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted February 17, 2017 Administrators Posted February 17, 2017 1 of my pet peeves is I get PMs or emails asking me to give an indication as to what something is worth but without any photos or idea of rust. There is a saying I'm fine of that goes a problem well stated is half solved. If you provide more photos of its condition it would be a lot easier to give an indication of its value. C210s haven't really taken off yet. Quote
d3c0y Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 They aren't going to take off either. Just because it's old and has a Datsun badge doesn't make it a classic. The only reason 240Ks ever got anywhere was the whole GTR replica thing. C210s were an excellent source of electronic distributors back when they were still in the wreckers. Quote
Simestime Posted February 17, 2017 Author Posted February 17, 2017 Ok heres some pics. Maybe i store it away for a few years, clean it up and let it appreciate. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted February 17, 2017 Administrators Posted February 17, 2017 That ain't going to appreciate much in my opinion (but then again they said the same about C110 240K's). I'd say the 2 door coupe's would probably be worth something to the right person, not sure on the 4 door's. If you have the space to store it, go for it. However it's in pretty rough shape, might be nice to let someone at it who wants to fix her up and put her to her former glory? Quote
Simestime Posted February 17, 2017 Author Posted February 17, 2017 I have contacted a couple of people on gumtree who have wanted ads for c110,240k c210 etc as im thinking of a quick sale ideally.i just dont want to sell myself short. Quote
Moderators PB260Z Posted February 18, 2017 Moderators Posted February 18, 2017 (edited) $2,000 tops. After looking at the photos I would say Gav is around the money, probably a little generous. Edited February 18, 2017 by PB260Z Quote
dat2kman Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 $1000 or so, for that one. What are they worth? From $500 to $20,000, it does depend on a few things! Quote
ilbert Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 How much to slash the paddock to get it out? Quote
Simestime Posted February 19, 2017 Author Posted February 19, 2017 Thanks for all replies.my opinion was about 500-1000 so i wasnt far out.its a shame its not a year earlier and a couple less doors...but thats fine it can sit for a few more years and see what happens. Quote
44014 Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 I would pay $500.. To have it removed from my yard. Sorry dude that thing is not going to appreciate at all. Its only model of notoriety that are showing any signs of appreciation. People are advertising 120y's for $6000 but no one is buying them. Quote
260DET Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Why not contact the people on Gumtree you mentioned, see what sort of price they have in mind. Gav and others here are are right up on the value of Datsuns but one particular sale can be well over or under, no harm in asking top dollar and if there are no responses over a month or two then you are probably asking too much. A nice B210 coupe in original condition with no rust is worth $6k. I'd love 1, with a warm A-series engine and sidedraught carbs . Quote
