C.A.R. Posted April 20, 2008 Author Posted April 20, 2008 I HATE DATSUN'S!!! What happen lurch? Kyle.... My gearbox is now stuck in 3rd... Quote
C.A.R. Posted April 20, 2008 Author Posted April 20, 2008 Correction. 'Was' stuck 3rd. The pin that locates the selector slider on the shifter housing had come loose & fallen out. Obviously the circlip had come off & the pin rattled out I shoved a short screwdriver in the hole, & hey presto I have all my gears back again... I'm off to get a new one in the morning. P.S. I still hate Datsun's. Quote
Toecutter Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Yer Sach we grabbbed some food in the morning and found that you guys had left when we got back. Had a great time looking forward to the next cruise which will be to Apollo Bay in August however we still have the next meeting which will be held at the Jag Club in Springvale a couple off weeks before the Apollo Bay overnighter, (refer to Calendar). I counted a total of 11 or 12 Z's!? I noticed a few other camera's in action perhaps they got the earlier shots in Lilydale? Some pics Lou took below: Quote

reverendzed Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Thanks for an awesome cruise guys! Ben and I had heaps of fun not only finally giving our Zed a bit of time off the leash but being able to put some faces to names was great. Sorry I had to bail short of P.I but I had work commitments! looking forward to next time round. The cars looked great and to see them all together was fantastic. Thanks Sulio, Lurch and others for making us feel so welcome. P.S It might be good to give thanks to God for Sach's mighty comeback, I know I did! Thanks everyone, Rev. Quote
ol_skl_jp Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Thanks Rev.... believe me that was the first thing i done after i came off the gravel . Looking forward to see your zed and hopefully Ben's zed in Apollo Bay, he mentioned he was getting his P's around that time, all the best. Cheers Sach Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted April 20, 2008 Moderators Posted April 20, 2008 Like everyone else has said, Thanks Sulio, Lurch and Craig for organizing a great run! Had heaps of fun running the zed around roads I've never been on before! If there were fewer white Ford utes and a@#hole truck drivers, would've been excellent! If anyone wants to see, I put on a short video (2.23 mins worth) of the drive. It seems whenever I started to record, we either got held up or went through a town etc. And excuse the bug splat on the windscreen; if I saw it before I started the recording, I would've cleaned it! Toecutter Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Good work Dimitri, what was the device/camera called that you used? Sulio Quote

Toecutter Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Yes it was good and we were actually short a few members that would normally attend ie Kyle, Dale, Evan and I believe Matt Drago's Z is finished but he was also busy. Shame on you fella's! Sulio Quote

matt drago Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Yes it was good and we were actually short a few members that would normally attend ie Kyle, Dale, Evan and I believe Matt Drago's Z is finished but he was also busy. Shame on you fella's! Sulio "Finished" has soo many shades. It is on the road, but the interior needs to be done yet. I did take her out on the road the other day and found that she is suffering from a bad dose of under steer. Considering that I took apart the front end and have yet to get a wheel alignment done, what am I to expect. Quote

620Z Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Hi Guys, Thanks for a great weekend. Sach sorry we missed you and the boys early Sunday morning for breakfast. I think we all had a great night. I can still make it to 2.30am not bad for an old bastard and no hang over ha. Great pictures and awesome to see so many Zeds. I have never been on a run with so many and I have been on a lot of drive days. Let's keep it up guys. It gives us more reason to keep the cars on the road ready for a nice drive every few months. So if your car only needs a few things to get it on the road do it now because the Apollo Bay run will be here soon enough. Good company and look forward to seeing you all at the Jag Club. Let's keep the momentum going as we have the potential to lift this clubs profile and interest big time. I know of about 5 Zed owners whom we could talk into getting along to our get togethers and I am sure plenty of you guys are the same. I would be wrapt if we can get 20 to the next meeting. Always good to hear the little quirky things everyone is doing to improve there Zeds. Let's keep them where they belong on the road. Quote
