Bonkers Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 It was good to catch up with Peter, Mick and Richard. Plus all the ZCCQ folk that were there. Seems the Zed boys were able to hold there own against some pretty pricey European machinery. The F40 looks a little dated along side today's cars . They say you should never meet your heroes. Saying that the Zeds being as old as they are didn't look out of place. Thanks to Porsche for putting on the day and the ZCCQ for their group entry of Zeds, Mazda RX7s and a Lambo. oldmates260z 1 Quote

d3c0y Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 (edited) The F40 looks a little dated along side today's cars. Crappy 90s kit cars usually don't look good beside any car haha. One of these things is not like the other, one of these things just doesn't belong: Can't work out what car the kit one is based on. There is a lot of fibreglass there. I also can't believe the kit gets the proportions SO WRONG! Who buys one of these things?? Edited November 23, 2015 by d3c0y gav240z 1 Quote
260DET Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 That pit girl in red certainly belongs Anyway, results. They are up at last http://racing.natsoft.com.au/results/#2 Quote
260DET Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 No interest in the times? Well, sort of not too bad for the Zeds I suppose. Clubman circuit, fastest targa spec Zed 1:02.303. Stan Adler driving his Group Sc Carrera 2.7 did a 1:00.104. Quote
dat2kman Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 The class lap record for the Z's is 1.03.8 6" rims, 195/60 rubber, cheesecutter fronts, drums on the arse, gav240z and GongZ 2 Quote

Mike260LW Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 No interest in the times? Well, sort of not too bad for the Zeds I suppose. Clubman circuit, fastest targa spec Zed 1:02.303. Stan Adler driving his Group Sc Carrera 2.7 did a 1:00.104. Stan's Porsche wasn't in Group S spec on the day though. Running wider and stickier tyres. They were wide enough to rub on his dry sump return oil line resulting in oil down from turn 4 to past the pit exit! His Gp S spec times around the clubman are more like 1:02. It is a very fast car and he is a very competant pedaller. I was running R spec tyres. Just sayin'. Quote
dat2kman Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Often see Stan, in a tyre changing flurry, at the Hysteric meets, hard to keep uo with what he has on, from race to race,,,, hmd 1 Quote
260DET Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Zeds must have Stan running scared, was wondering if he was in Sc trim. Quote
