260Coupe Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Arizona Z car L6 extractors brand new and used with HPC (ceramic) coating. These are the fabled six into one extractors far superior to the standard HM stock usually available, near impossible to get here due to huge shipping costs. $750 Al. Quote
Agno Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I have these on my car and they make great noise! Quote
Scoota G Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 They had a price, thing is Alan has the goodie goodie yum yum parts worth lots more than what he's asking. Someone made him an offer he couldn't refuse i would say. Quote
zedevan Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Alan stated there was enough interest in these at the $650 price he had advertised them for to justify putting them up for auction, so we should expect to see them on ebay soon? Curious to know who else was after them and if there is enough interest to see if the Australian reseller could justify bringing in a few sets? I was after them as an alternative to mending the headers I have, since its a pretty good price for headers that are coated... There's a BIN set on ebay US for about US640/AUD700 delivered, so I'd say Alan had them priced at what they should cost to bring in new... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-Z-240Z-280Z-280ZX-N42-P90-E88-E31-P90A-Ceramic-Coated-Header-NEW-/151263177743?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2337fcec0f&vxp=mtr Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted March 27, 2014 Administrators Posted March 27, 2014 These are designed to fit the Wrong Hand Drive American cars and not get in the way of the steering rack. Why don't you fellas go for the Stewart Wilkins ones? Buy Australian made and save on shipping costs. Also Peter Mac has said that they are a good set up. Quote
zedevan Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I would but they interfere with the EFI intake manifold, and I believe are double the price when you factor in coating them Quote
C.A.R. Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 It's a perfect excuse to ditch the factory EFi manifold. That's what I did! Quote
zedevan Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 that's true lurch, but dont think i'm not tempted! Quote
260Coupe Posted March 27, 2014 Author Posted March 27, 2014 I think you'll find that SWM headers are $950 + HPC coating (another $350) plus lead time to manufacture Quote
260Coupe Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 Relisted due to being messed around..........sorry I do not have time to package up and ship interstate Price has increased due to me checking what they actually cost me ..........and yes they are $500 cheaper than the SW motor sport headers and marginally more than HM headers with ceramic coating. $750 firm..........no offers, no bids......first in best dressed Pick up only from Moorabbin PM me regards Al. Moderators Zedman240® Posted March 31, 2014 Moderators Posted March 31, 2014 If it helps, I'll be able to pickup and pack and wrap for interstate buyers that are interested if that's ok Alan.. Quote
PZG302 Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 that's true lurch, but dont think i'm not tempted! Sorry to go OT, but Evan, if you do look at getting rid of the inlet manifold I want first right of refusal, even though I don't have an L series engine at the moment. Quote
luvemfast Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Sorry to go OT, but Evan, if you do look at getting rid of the inlet manifold I want first right of refusal, even though I don't have an L series engine at the moment. Something tells me that manifold isn't quite "standard" $750 is quite reasonable for those headers, but aren't 6-1 more for drag applications? SWR are better, but cost more. And we are Datsun people. If it helps, I'll be able to pickup and pack and wrap for interstate buyers that are interested if that's ok Alan.. Another example of why Dimitri is the most popular guy in town......and Alans not Quote
PZG302 Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 I know a bit about the inlet manifold on Evan's motor It's also a shame that the exhaust is not a viable fix on Evan's motor as well. i know it is a unique bit of kit built by arguably one of the best exhaust guys in the country. Quote
dat2kman Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 I'm running the good Stew ones, with a fuelie mani, no problems there. I'm happy with it. Sumwun buy it ! Quote
