  1. Great looking shed.
  2. Great! Now I've won two trophies. Do you need my mailing address?

  4. Just one more like and I could have been there.
  5. The new format looks good and I've found it quite easy to work out. I've even got third place in some event I didn't even know I'd entered into. Just a pity my car is not that well placed.

  7. Rebuilding an L28 is the same cost as an L24. So the L28 with 15% more capacity is giving quite a bit more for no additional cost and will always be in front. If you are looking for extra performance, then I don't see there's a choice to be made. Plus if you build up an L28 you can keep driving your car.
  8. The one benefit of acrylic is if your not happy with some parts you can rub it back smooth and have another go. Unlike 2-pac it's easier to blend it into the rest of it. If you are unable to sand the bumps out without braking through to the primer then as has been said, polishing it will just give you shiney bumps. Why not try repainting the bad areas?
  9. You've done well getting all the body parts. I went RB25. I got bare block and bolted it to an empty gearbox case and sat it in the engine bay and moved it around until I was happy with the position and then made the mounts to fit. A bit of work, but you can sit the engine exactly where you want it.
  10. Hi, I'm after a passenger side fuel tank retaining strap for a 240Z. I believe they might be shorter than the 260Z straps. Greg
  11. Thanks that would explain it. The RHS strap was tightened up a long way to get pressure on the tank and could just be made short enough. I will make some modification to get it sorted. I didn't realise the 260 tanks were larger. I might keep and eye out for one.
  12. Hi, I've struck a problem installing my fuel tank. The left hand side strap appears to be too long. For the lett hand strap I used the shorter of the two. The bolt hangs down where the red arrow is and so far too low to tighten the strap up. My car had no tank in it when I bought it and the tank is not the original tank. The straps might not be either. Does anyone know what my problem is? Greg

  14. I'm interested in the front toe arms If you still have them. I've sent you a PM. Greg
  15. Sorry no build thread, just a few pics in my gallery. Car: Buitd for track days, but will hopefully have special interest rego so I can drive on street. RB25, Haltech ecu, coilovers, GTR skyline front brakes, r31 rear. 16x8 Rota R wheels. Fairly standard build, but as tyres will only be 225 and it will have a bit of power I will try and use some smarts in the ecu to make it more driveable.
  16. If needed I could tap some more M10 threads in the rotor and screw a few more bolt heads in. I'd be sad if I glued them and one came off and trashed my flash new sensors. A square wave from a hall sensor would have been a nicer signal than from a reluctor, but I think my ecu should be able to handle it.
  17. I believe it will pick up every bolt. I found the installation instructions here. http://www.monitrally.com/downloads/pr001_installation_en.pdf
  18. I thought there must have been a spacer there. I measure mine and the strut face where the backing plate bolts to is about 33mm to top of the bolt. So with 55mm of thread I should be able to get it set ok. Yours look a bit shorter in length. I've ordered them and so hopefully it works out ok. Thanks for the help.
  19. Thanks. I see now the inner nuts sits on the wheel side of the strut. That should be easy enough to make up. I need them on my wheels for traction control so have to go this way. I feel I'm ok to order them now.
  20. Thanks Roger. That is very helpful. I thought I would probably have to use the the dust cover bolt holes for some form of mounting, but hadn't thought of something so neat and compact I'm thinking these with M12 thread might work ok. The long thread will help me get it in close to the bolt. https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p/monit-wheel-probe-pr001?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=ShoppingAUS&utm_campaign=ShoppingAUS&vat=off&currency=AUD&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIvtqF5vih2wIVFouPCh2fEACgEAkYBCABEgIKvfD_BwE
  21. Thanks Yes I'm probably being a bit cheap here. You know how it is when you get to near the end of a big project and starting to running over budget you look for insignificant savings on things that you wouldn't normally have bothered about. On the up side the halfshafts have always fallen out of my cars at 0 kmhr and it's been the unit joint. Although rear wheels were probably doing 100
  22. Has anyone had any experience putting wheels speed sensors on the front hubs of a 240? If so how did you go about it? Greg
  23. Great effort. Thanks for that. A hour rumaging through the shed is an hour worth paying for.
