  2. Hi guys, I've got a new factory fitted 260z 2 seater resonator. Make me an offer. Andrew
  3. I saw a Top Stage 240z and it actually had a carbon dash in it so I would assume they could make one up! Andrew
  4. Great read! If you need someone to drive your cars I'm just around the corner and would be happy to assist Andrew
  5. Hey mate, defiantly interested, do you have any photos of it in bare metal before paint? Andrew
  6. I was under the impression that you could KBS/POR-15 with correct prep, scuff with 5-600grit and epoxy prime over it. This is assuming that you have no filler of course. If I was buying a panel of any sort I would want to see it in bare metal no matter what sort of paint it has bar maybe original paint (Which would be hard to prove anyway)
  7. Thanks mate, would you happen to remember what boost gauge you used? Cheers, Andrew
  8. Unfortunately my clock actually works and I'm looking for a stealthy place to install my boost gauge/wideband Afr gauge. Trying to make it look as stock as possible. I can't seem to find any boost gauges or afr gauges the correct size that are of a similar style to the factory gauges. Anyone have any suggestions? Andrew
  9. Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has installed a gauge in their air vent before, I saw it done in a car that was for sale a little while ago and thought it might be an effective place to install a boost gauge however I'm thinking that it may be too difficult to see when in the drivers seat. My car is currently stripped so it's hard for me to tell if it will be visible or not. Thanks! Andrew
  10. I saw the old 2+2 parts car down the back and I was thinking it's better than my car other than the sunroof hole hahah
  11. Been looking forward to the meet for a few months now! I'll be there with my "rust bucket" Andrew
  12. Hey Roady, just wondering if you had any more info for me? Andrew
  13. Hi Roady, I'm fitting it for the first time and I haven't been able to find where 0 degrees is as the base plate has been re-drilled to enable this distributor to mount. (I have ordered a timing light but it hasn't arrived) The mechanical advance has been disabled on it and the timing is controlled through the custom ECU. I'm also unsure if the positioning of the hall effect sensor inside the unit is correct as it is able to be moved around since the mechanical advance was removed. The model of this one is: T4T80172 C4 22100 Y4111 Here is a photo of the Mitsubishi distributor with the adjustment plate and base that it came with (the hole on the right has been re-drilled to allow it to mount to the base. This is the base and adjustment plate that was fitted to the motor originally with a d609-56a distributor As you can see the two bases are the same whereas the adjustment plates are different. I reckon that the person originally using this distributor didn't get the base with it so they used a standard l26 base. I also believe that to get it to mount correctly and have the timing set properly they would have had the oil pump shaft turned in a different orientation than normal. Not sure though? Andrew
  14. I was just looking through my photos and it definitely appears to be this mystery Mitsubishi distributor.

  16. Hey mate, sorry for the late reply! I've realised that it's actually a rare Mitsubishi distributor so I'll let you know if a standard l28 base will fit. Andrew
  17. I believe I may have accidentally stumbled upon one of these distributors which I have installed on my z (haven't got it running yet) I have reason to believe it may have been originally fitted to the L20ET? I'll get more photos when I get home. Mine seems to have a hacked up L26 distributor base on it which is making it difficult to set timing. I'm pretty sure I recall seeing Mitsubishi written on it somewhere. I'll update later today.
  18. Hey mate, here are some photos of my distributor with the hacked up L26 base. Andrew
  19. Hi guys, just after an L28E distributor base (the part between the block and the actual distributor) as my electronic distributor came with a re drilled L26 base which is making setting the timing a real pain! I'm located in Melbourne but I'm happy to pay for postage! Andrew
  20. I wouldn't say they're beyond repair. Looks like you've just about finished one of them anyway! Keep it up! Andrew
  21. Me and my girlfriend will be there! Can't believe it's been another year Andrew
  22. Hi all, I'm now also selling sill sections for both the 2+2's and 2 seaters. The fitment on these sections is far far closer than the rare spares sections and they can be customised to suit your length requirement. Price is $170 each + a $2.50 donation to the forum + P&H (pickup is available form Silvan, Victoria) As with any rust repair section, minor adjustments may be required to fit your car. NOTE: These repair sections are made to order and may have a waiting period of up to two weeks. eBay listing: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/263274720441?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649 Andrew
  23. I'd just like to add that not all P90a heads had hydraulic lifters from my knowledge. Loving the build! Andrew

    Sump And Pickup

Hey mate, I've got a spare sump you can have for free however it comes of a 280zx so it has the oil temp sensor in it (could easily be removed and replaced with a bung) However I have no oil pickup! Let me know if you're interested! Andrew
  25. Sounds pretty standard really! I haven't heard anything about the P90A cams being harder to change than the P90 cams, the only real difference being that some P90a heads had hydraulic lifters. I'd just get the engine up and running before you start to strip the car back anymore so that you know it runs etc. Might be nice to do a refresh on it if you take it out too (rear main seal, oil pan gasket, water pump (and gasket), thermostat, housing and gasket, timing cover gasket, valve cover gasket. Looks like the car has had a fair bit of repair work in the past, looks relatively good but it may be a good idea to inspect the areas mentioned by CBR Jeff. As for the flares, and rear wing you may be best off putting up a "Wanted" advert on here, I've been able to source stacks of parts through this forum as well as gumtree. Life is much easier when people know you are looking for those parts so post up an advert here and on gumtree! I have a front lip that may suit the style you're going for, let me know if you're interested!
