  1. O.G 260 Nice looking Z, a few more photos would be great, is it missing part of the passenger side mirror ? Is it a manual or auto You may want to have a look at the "sticky" thread for cars for sale, it sets out the prefered way and level of information required to list a car for sale on the forum. I am in the market for a 2+2 but that is unfortunatley out of my budget Good luck with the sale.
  2. Looking good Lurch, But then again what would I know, my 2013 mission is learn to weld. Have fun PB
  3. Wow, when you said it need a bit of work around the rails.................. Looking forward to seeing the finished job. Cheers PB
  4. Gents, With the workshop at the House of Lurch not going ahead (at this stage) I am not heading to Melbourne this weekend. This creates two drama's :( 1. Dimitri, I have your bike here, it is welcome to stay as long as you like, I will be going to Melbourne at some stage, or I can post parts. 2. Aussie240 (Ian) I wont be able to bring your towbar back with me. - Not sure how I can resolve that one. When Lurch brings Bruce's Z back to life I plan on attending the rescheduled day (work permitting) but obviously no date as yet and I will happily transport things then Really sorry guys. Cheers PB
  5. Lurch, I have a set of brand new H4 7" lamps with 55/60 bulbs I can donate to the cause if needed. Not Datsun branded but, quality Japanese ones regardless. No front strut inserts ? See you on Friday night. Cheers
  6. Hey Lurch, Pop the other side off as well, will make it easier to do the struts Cheers PB
  7. Gidday You have probably already tried this but, Assuming all the injectors are getting fuel, I would be doing two things 1. Compression test 2. Swapping one of the injectors from No. 1,2 or 3 with one from 4,5 or 6 Just my 2 cents Cheers PB
  8. Yes a very merry Christmas to all. I have really enjoyed learning so much about Z's from all the contributors to this awesome forum. Looking forward to meeting a few of you at Lurch's on the 29th Cheers & Beers PB
  9. Lurch, I am 100% attending, and will bring my tool boxes, can't find the spring compressors though Any other tools etc I should throw in the back ? Will most likely arrive early evening on Friday Looking forward to meeting some Z folk. Cheers PB
  10. No worries, but you haven't seen the bill yet PM me your mobile and I will call when I have Towbar back in Sydney.
  11. Dimitri, I will swap you: Bike for Towbar Cheers PB
  12. Ian, A quick look on Google maps suggests that Narre Warren is not that far from Lurch's in Yarragon so hopefully someone travelling from the City can help - Any takers ?
  13. Ian, I will be going to Lurch's (Yarragon 1 hour east of Melb) on the weekend 29/12, if you can get the Towbar to him I will bring it to Sydney. I have a good friend in Oak Flats so can drop it in the Illawarra on my next visit. Let me know PB Maybe post where in Melb it needs to be picked up from and see if any of the Guys coming to Lurch's can bring out.
  14. I have a cheap GMC electric heat gun that I use for heatshrink jobs and it works just fine for me. Have used it on up to 20mm tube. Cheers PB
  15. Gidday, I have had good results with self amalgamating tape, it is far superior to standard electrical tape, not cheap though. Available at number of places, I use the Nitto brand from Jaycar Cheers PB
  16. John, As I am sure you know that black wire is the Horn, it is a switched earth circut. I would be expecting a "male" spade terminal on the back of the hornpad to complete the circut. Cheers PB
  17. Congrats, Is it staying local ?
  18. And after lunch ?
  19. Lurch, I have a full a mechanics toolkit etc, assuming I make it I will toss the boxes in back. Cheers PB
  20. The good things about forums is you can be as active as you like, there are plenty of discussions active on this forum and whilst I read most of them I only get involved in some, it is the same sort of things with club social activities and meetings, some may want to some won't. I suppose what I am saying that if people want to engage in the "club" side of the forum great, but if they don't that is also OK. The thing with some car clubs is they all but insist you get involved in the face to face side and whilst we all want the help, support and advice available not everyone will want to engage in the face to face side. I agree with Rev, if some members what to form friendships and socialise that is great, but unlike a club not everyone has to socialise. I have only met one member of this forum so far, but have been made feel welcome by all. Just my (newbie) opinion. Cheers PB
  21. Both weekends are the same for me
  22. Lurch, I may well come down for that one. Won't know for sure until a little closer to that date + some logistics to sort out, but definately keen Cheers PB PS Dimitri, if I do will bring some extra luggage
  23. Singhy, From my experience with engine swaps, work out what you think it will cost then double it , and you may get close to what it will end up costing !!! So 1+ on Gav's comments. Nothing worse than starting a project then running out funds Cheers PB
  24. Looks like you guys had a good day. Makes me think it could worth the trip to next years, 3 days 1700k's could be fun.
  25. +1 on someone local to help. Worse case maybe someone on here knows a good workshop up that part of world who would be willing to give an assesment of the mechanical condition of the car for a nominal fee. I am not saying that you should use them to support your case againt Brakes Plus but more to give you a clear picture of what has and has not been done. Rest assured not all workshops are like these guys. Cheers PB
