  1. So I've started working on the car again after a long break. I've had a lot going on and things have finally settled back down now so I'm hoping I can continue working on the car more. Anyway, I'll get stuck straight into the pictures as thats why your here really isn't it. So to start with I've been working on the front end. I lined up the front spoiler with the side skirts and found I needed to take another 3cm off the top of the spoiler so it wouldn't hang lower then the bottom of the skirts. So now the front's inline I need to clean up the cut a bit Just with more of the front end mocked up so I can take some more measurements And marking out how much of the rear has to be cut off Looking better
  2. I've already answered one of my own questions. A quick look on the Wattyl web site and I've found a few distributors close by
  3. Been hearing a lot of people recommend the Wattyl etch primer. I just have two questions about it though. First one is where do you buy it from? Is it just at Bunnings or would I need to find a paint supplier who stocks it? Also can you apply a body filler over the top of the primer?
  4. *looks for the 'like' button* Sounds like a great idea, will be interesting watching it all come together
  5. There is ABI paint supplies on South Pine rd Brendale, Brisbane Refinish Supplies at Shannon Pl Virginia and Peninsula Paint Supplies at Anzac Ave Kippa-Ring.
  6. Long time over due but I have been doing a little bit of work on the car here and there. Media blasted and painted the inside of the car, I found one small rust hole so that got cut out and new steel welded in. This is the inside just in primer. I have put a top coat down just haven't taken any pic yet Other things that have been done include removing the whole rear end to be inspected, cleaned, repair where necessary then reinstalled. And that's about it for now. Mike is going overseas for 18 months so I'm going to get stuck into it while he's away and I plan on picking him up from the airport in it when he returns (don't know why but I seem to get more work done when he's away).
  7. I'll add that the one here is a 2+2
  8. I've got the rear end of a 280 spread across my garage if thats any help
  9. I thought it looked good when I picked up the spoiler but now it looks fantastic.
  10. That is awesome. Can't wait to see some more progress on this. Also are they pieces of wood between the cross member and frame?
  11. Love the second video, can of Jim Beam in the car and flames out the carby.
  12. I got a media blaster not too long ago and you end up using it for anything you can, can't beat the results for the time it takes.
  13. Seems like your already on the right track to getting things sorted out. I'd suggest getting a new accountant, someone who have experience doing your type of returns. Being self employed and having investment property's does make things complicated. Try not to stress. And talk to the ATO, they don't want you to go bankrupt and can be very helpful at times. Mind you I've talked to a couple of people at the ATO who I felt like choking by the end of the phone call.
  14. Just heard back. We'll take it if it's still for sale. Could you PM me your number and we'll arrange a day and time to pick it up.
  15. Thanks it was a lot of work. Although I am planing on stripping it again and re-doing some of the work that I had done and repaint it with 2pac paint (I used acrilic because it was cheaper and easier). I learnt a lot from working on this car and I made some mistakes along the way but I always knew from the start that I would do it all again in a few years just so I can make it right. And all the paint and panel work didn't cost that much $$ just time. I just need to get the 280 closer to finished before I start on it again.
  16. Just noticed this, i'll forward the add to my brother in-law and see if he's keen. I'll let you know.
  17. Finished cleaning up the front suspension Started working on the front tension rod mount Yea it was a bit stuffed Sitting on the steel I'm making the new one from And now it's ready to be welded in
  18. Mmmmmm Some of the body mods that were done on some of those cars looked fantastic, mainly the wide body.
  19. The VG30 can make more then 350whp. Here is a list of cars with dyno charts and info on each car http://www.vg30et.com/members.html
  20. Just a bit more cleaning and painting I might get these done tomorrow
  21. Been a little while, I've done a bit of work and I am hoping to get more done ASAP. Well I'll start with the side skirts, their 'done', just need to be sanded all over (I'll get Michael to do that) then paint and mount them to the car And we got a media blaster off ebay, one of the '10 gallon' units. It's f**king awesome. We can get crushed glass for very cheap from one of Michael's friends so I've been having a 'play' around with that (crushed glass doesn't have the 'free silica' that sand does) and the results so far have been awesome. This was a quick test, about 10 seconds. Compared to the other one... So anyway today I started to disassemble both the front struts And I ended up with a bench looking like this. The front shocks look like the originals and are shot. After a few minutes with the media blaster, both sides are done. One cover painted, there is some pitting on the cover from rust but that doesn't matter.
  22. When do you need them by, I might have a spare set but I have to go digging first to see.
  23. Keep the paint the same, your car pulls it off so well. As for the other two questions I have no idea
  24. They also made them from the z31, interesting car to say the least.
  25. Yea that would be good fun considering some of the cars you can buy for nothing these days
