  1. Yeah cars booked in for Trims by Shaun next monday for full carpet/headliner, carbon tunnel and rear towers and helping get my old boss kit off for a sparco quick release hub and steering wheel. $1500 all up. could have been cheaper but the carbons a bit more.... will post pics before and after
  2. Does you guys have a contact for Scott @ Duffy paint? Ive tried a few times throuh calls and txt but cannot get onto him........
  3. I used the AZC willwoods all round with the coilover kit. Just beware that some rear disc kits do not have a provision for a handbrake or as yanks say parkbrake. There are solutions and I guess it depends on budget and desired outcome, go with something nice and new, or go r31 rear skylines or something. Regarding mounting......lol:) I used the Mckinney mounts, theyre are a semi solid and place the engine and gearbox perfectly for an RB swap....
  4. Howd the panel shop go? Did you find duffy auto any good? im ready for panel & paint and am looking atm
  5. Bloody oath Luvemfast... I couldnt belive how quick, literaly paid on Ebay 22/6 recieved arvo of 27/6 They were 700ish for rims + 365 postage. Not too bad.... Saying that theres a set of hyper black RBR 17x8.5 +10 in WA NEW to your door for under 1000... I just didnt want to cut guards to go wider or have scrubbing so stayed safe. On the lookout now for a good set of tyres, Ozzy tires has Pirellis 245/17/45 for 900 delivered to the door....... Or maybe semi's?
  6. Too good. 200 landed is a steal. I think its only a little more 300ish? but im waiting for a postage cost from MSA to work out if I buy just that, or a stack. @ Sushi Can you get a proximity "key" to suit it? thats means the key needs to be in range of push button system to activate it?
  7. Thanks Retro, what sort of price before MSA got their cut? Ive seen the videos etc, and to be honest it looks really simple but i thought id see if in actual application it is.... I like the white button one, the whole unit looks pretty classy.
  8. I dont think anyone with a budget would jump straight into a 10k paint job without inspecting first. Its been in storage for 25years!!!
  9. Hi guys, as the project is drawing to a close Im paying attention to the little/cosmetic things. One thing I like from the Zstore is the push start button kit, which looks the goods and seems to be well suited to the z ignition barrel. Has anyone used/installed these kits, and are they as good/easy as the seller suggests? Security concerns? I have a proper alarm/immobilizer + GPS tracker, and also Sparco quick release wheel. I think even if it did get broken into and started, theyd struggle to get it anywhere without the wheel.
  10. Not intending to be insulting, but as the plates have been for sale for a fair while now, if you'd like to move them on, I am prepared to pay $500 + postage of course =-/
  11. Your best bet would be Ebay mate. Rota australia has very limited wheen types. I think only RB R here in 17" x 9/9.5 I got some RBs from the states for $1050 (17x7.5) and they were at my door in 5 days!!
  12. Theres a 240z low # in Canberra city if anyone is interested. Apparently all there and been in storage since 1988? Worth a look for someone maybe? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/240z-Datsun-Sports-260z-storage-since-1988-Nissan-fairlady-z-/280917842450?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item4168021a12
  13. Check the middle east Holden caprice drift....... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFtbYSdiQKQ
  14. this is what happens when you give 21st century toys to people living in the 15th Century !! pretty sure i saw a 240km/h drift.....phsyco
  15. not sure if you guys have seen, and a pretty ratty z..... but f#@%ing cool i think
  16. any progress?

    Wtb: ashtray.

I have a clean 240z ashtray base with a cracked lid, but base is solid. Not sure if it fits tho..
  18. Thanks mate. Took the car into workshop yesterday to soften AZC coilovers, install tailshaft loop and modify my sump..... @ Sco_Aus..... ill let you know how it goes and if all good can give you my mechanics details to help you with the sump
  19. pm me and ill go into more detail but basically www.mckinneymotorsports.com got FMC, radiator/fan/shroud, throuttle cable for rb (to use stock pedal but i used the skyline gear) engine/box mounts/ 3"exhaust and custom RB conversion tailshaft (built for this swap and can be mated to many types of diffs - i used a r200) was around $3750 with shipping but was awesome stuff note that the gearbox mount sits close to tunnel so screw in speedo drive wont fit.. i used a gps speedo with new guages from new england istruments and works really well (except for tunnels) no cvs, no lsd yet. i shortened the left stub axle slightly as they fit was tight for the r200diff and r180 axels (apparently if you dont shorten one they a) are stressed a lot further b)have less movment in and out as they are squeezed just to fit, and c)if not done car will pull to one side =when floored..... fuel system i used a bosch 044 as main and carter black for lifter pump for surge tank. obviously need to do fuel lines too 3/8" i think.... i can give you a break down of parts and suppliers i used but be warned these things get expensive. saying that i replaced everything in the car...... and i love z's so am happy with the results. They other day a guy and his wife in their 60's pulled up to the lights in a c63 amg - cool and fast. we acknowledged eachothers cars with a smile and both took off... next set of lights he couldnt believe a car not even $5500 new blew the doors off his $150k machine... lol saying that id take his comfort in the benz anyday.... my point is these cars are worth the hassel/cost because in my experience 240z/260z appeal to such a huge section of people.. ricers, oldie who remember or used to own them, young people who dont know what they are, classic car lovers etc.... anyway enough with this essay!!
  20. I used mackinney motorsports engine and box mounts. I think any rear bowl sump you will encounter difficulty. A few places in the states make them but im unsure how low they sit and theyre 600+... wheels and width he seemed ok with.....
  21. I have done a RB conversion and as a result needed to change the sump from front bowl to rear to avoid hitting cross member. I sourced from another member on here a rear bowl sump suitable for the rb. He wasnt sure if it was a 200zr or rb patrol unit bit after installing it and going thru engineering yesterday i need to raise it from the ground. At the moment it sits about 130mm off the ground and has a lot of room to alter the shape (raise bowl from ground) and increase the lost volume at the front of the sump.... Has anyone done this before or can do it themselves?? Thanks guys
  22. Nah its fine, no new info thre. I cant believe how cas he is in person though..... The cars built well and with no chop up parts or old stuff so itll be fine. Plus a very good freind is pretty high up at Dickson inspections so fingers crossed he will assist if needed. Biggest thing i was worried about was track width with 235's and coilovers but its still the stock 53inches...
  23. Ive got the AZCar brakes and am unsure if they are dust sealed or not.... Re:Engineering John Wilson was happy with the car, have a very low hanging sump not sure if its zr200 rear sump or rb rear one but its about 130mm off the ground and needs to be raised. Other than that brake tests next where they do a series of 100km stops and then should be sweet. Hope rego ACT are as casual as the engineer. Even Wislon agreed the Wilwoods were a quality brake and thought it was stupid the non ADR applied as they are a far superior brake system to a lot of others..
  24. Welcome mate, nice car. What are your plans for it? Were those guards flared at all??
  25. Yeah im not interested in cutting. Was thinking something that begun under the lip of rear end, and covered all over the tank to a mounting point around there?
