  1. Did this end up selling?
  2. Can you show pic of the flatspot??
  3. Any chance of pics on here? fakebook is blocked on my network.... I have HR30 coupe, needing some cool rims!
  4. Ive always wanted the 280zx 'swastika' rims, as seen on fleabay all the time!
  5. I must say, I have seen/driven a few GOOD examples of the Z31 models, just they are few and far between, but go VERY nice. Perfect fro crusing up the coast etc. Its just sad as things get neglected and break, the list keeps adding up and it no longer seems liek a sane decision to spend $5000 on a $2000 car that isnt as special as a 240z or similarIf I found a gunmetal grey 200ZR (cali) Hard Top (stiffer chassis) I'd seriously consider it! You never know, in 5 to 10 years they'll be the next 280zx (remember a few years ago you couldnt GIVE away a 280zx, no one wanted them except for the L28) Oh and I did have a VG30DET with a Z32 5 speed sitting in my project, pretty much bolted in... its all the OTHER wiring and fiddle farting around to get it going made be pack it up and sell off.
  6. I buy mine from 'Dr. Injector" ebay.us About $40 to $50 each NEW... you can choose from 280cc, 360cc, 480cc.... But Id buy from dat2kman, at least you can hunt him down and torch his cat if they dont work!
  7. I have a N/A Z31 that Im wrecking, bought as a project, but was too much of a fead huck to sort out. It has a reco auto trans too... I think as a first car, pain in the arse. as a hobby car/project.... pain in the arse...
  8. Can you supply details of the L20et: Engine number, where it was sourced from etc There are a few different variants. Does it have a 'M' on the side of the block? Do you still have the turbo and exhaust manifold? Just for reference, I have bought L20et's in the bast for around the $300 mark in full running condition, same for L24e, for an old L26 I bought one for $150 a while ago. Probably best you create an itemised list and your asking price...

    R30 or R31

If youre really keen on the R30, I do know of a HR30 Coupe Turbo that might be forsale soon. Its not on the road yet, needs some attention and is semi-project type thing.

    R30 or R31

Im a R30 enthusiast, and there are a few examples floating about. Your best bet is ebay, and also leave notes on windows! The R30 with round lights, is the import version (L20et or Fj20et engine), although you can still find them, they are very rare, and go for around $2000 to $10,000 The lights can be swapped onto an Aussie MR30, not hard at all. (Lights go for around $200 to $300 a pair) It would be EASIER to get an R31, much easier to get parts, the RB30e is a great engine, hell faster than an L6 (unmodified of course). The R31 doesnt handle as well, and is heavier, but still alot less hassles....
  11. IRS mate... Get the MR30 rear end setup, and use the subaru STI diff - LSD too!
  12. I have sold 3x MR30 rear end R180 IRS setups in the last few years to 200b owners.... apparently its not too big a task!
  13. IF you have the factory loom etc, and all factory sensors.... you have a couple of good options. I HAVE seen an L28et run with a RB30e ECCS ecu with Nistune.... a bit exxy at the start, but goes very well, and is reliable. Firstly Id invest in new or reco injectors, the stock units will eventually fail. Otherwise, I have L28et ECU here doing nothing, (its a JECS labled unit, looks fine)
  14. CAn you give any details on remaining R30 parts?? Im very keen, on anything you have (most of Oz R30's are scrap metal, or gone to eccentric enthusiats that store mountains of crap for no reason other than to piss other blokes off.....)
  15. reply of the year......

    l28 turbo

Navanskyine, pm me your contact details, I can give you a call to go over a few things. I have kept track of a few L6 turbo engines in Australia and know quite a few details you might need to know.
  17. So can you give some actual specs on your engine? Block casting IS there actual cam work EFI or carbs N/A or turbo?
  18. I think the S12 Gazelle and the Z31 300zx might be worht looking at too... both getting pretty hard to find at wreckers!
  19. I have one here available on my HR30 (L20et) , but I was holding onto it until I could find a decent L28 or L24 to play with. Prices for finding engines fluctuate so much, its hard to put a dollar value on it. PM me if you want to sort something out. Remember shipping will be a fair bit
  20. VERY good pricing there! I had to go back and re-read! If they make a turbo manifold let me know
  21. author=acf321 link=topic=4168.msg98434#msg98434 date=1317442790 That post above has some pics.... Yummo
  22. Stewart Wilkins Racing in Syd do make a special set of L6 extractors (you have to ask for them specifically, they arent on the web-site anymore) Sometimes ther is a wait time, as they normally sell before they are delivered to the workshop! They are race proven in many events, very well thought out....
  23. I have a Wolf 3dv4, with additional aux in & outs (water spray, dual map switch, additional fans etc) Has hand controller, short loom, sensors with long leads for splicing, few manuals about tuning, the PC software too. Have also a L28et loom (well 1x complete, 1x butchered, so 1.5 looms!) ALSO have the optical chopper wheel Crank Angle Sensor/distributor, and the matching oil pump spline drive shaft, and turbo oil pump The ECU was previously on a VG30DET (3 litre, nissan v6, optical chopper wheel type crank angle sensor) Can be tuned to suit anything. Has 6 injector drivers etc. Its worth $800 easily on ebay. Im not going to use it for another 2 years till I finish my turn in the sand pit etc.... It was going on my L20et in the HR30, but thats on hold for a while (Plus its already an ECCS type arrangement, so Nistune is the simplest option for me) So yeah for a forum member $700 and its sold.
  24. What about posting pics of all 4 of them, and also a pic of them on the car they are on now (to see what they look like on a car!)

    Cooling an L28

Ive seen big improvements on other cars by adding a shroud to surround the fan, otherwise its just sucking air from the circular section instead of the whole radiator surface area... But its probably easier to go back to factory.... much easier
