  1. I believe the 6AL-2 has uprated voltage output as well. The 6AL would still be a good upgrade I think if mine is anything to go by
  2. Sounds like a great deal to me if it's the 6al-2. The 6al is an older version and is readily available for around $200
  3. I ran my rear R31 set up with 14x6 superlites when I first had the car, clearance was fine.
  4. Petermc26 is the guy who will know, he built an L28 race engine that runs on it. Smells like cherrys
  5. It was $400. It's heaps smoother to drive, more responsive, better economy (not that I care about that). After starting stone cold it'll idle at 750rpm with no chokes straight away. There's also the rev limiter set for 7000rpm, which is handy and the launch control but thats not hooked up....... yet
  6. My 6AL-2 is mounted between the battery and passenger strut tower, MSD said that would be fine and so far so good!
  7. Yep, they can be very hard to break loose. I used an electric impact gun thats rated at 340nm. took half a dozen goes to break it loose :-\
  8. Whoa 1.58.3 obviously that was before I was in mud upto the axles/floor....
  9. A 1.59 for me before lunch, they didn't post any times in the afternoon.... Not sure what Noel did, but he went past me down the straight and geez that thing sounds good Saw Scoota G and Dalee in BAD260, I likey the black bonnet! Lurch was honking too, so fast the fuel was being spewed from his petrol door
  10. Nice to finally put some faces to the names today Apologies if I didn't get to say farewell.
  11. What about big D?
  12. Must have been a timing error... Will be good to have six there, don't think I have raced with that many. Is Simon going to make it? Paging 'Frankenstien'.........
  13. Hey Mark, if you have a Multi meter You can check the resistance of the leads, they should all be similar Check the coil lead too.
  14. Tidy +2! Nice work there Lurch, might get you to have a look at 'the Ricey' on sunday, see what you think of repair options.
  15. So you'll be the one in the slippers with a walking frame Hehe. Six, wow.. should be fun, I'll be the white one everbody keeps lapping See you guys there.
  16. Guess you'll be the one in shorts n thongs Are you racing too? Would be great to see how the new head goes!
  17. Is everyone still going? Weather looks good, I'll be there from 7am rain, hail, or shine
  18. Hehe! You would need a perspex front end.... It would be a tradgedy to hide those away! NZeders look the sensible choice
  19. What about these.......... Yahoo Japan, bid is at 185,00 yen or buy now 295,000 yen!
  20. What sort of work did the head have done and what comp ratio do you expect?
  21. This may have been answered before so feel free to shoot me down.. Do the brake lines attach to the bottom of this 1" master? I run hilux fronts and r31 rear with 15/16 no problems so far, is this ok/safe or should I upgrade? :-\
  22. They are exactly the same as standard original rotors I had. I run non vented Hilux calipers and the fit is perfect. Shipping was $100 had to send them individually. I'm sure with enough research you'd be able to find someone over here to do you blank rotors for cheaper than what it cost me. I'm an impatient bugger though
  23. Hope this works Thanks Scoota G and Maygz, Karma to you good Sirs http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.m748&item=220650520691&viewitem=&_trkparms=clkid%3D6210691964651628469
  24. Excellent there'll be a heap of Z's. The backfire was pretty awsome in the video, it looked like it got your battery! Loved the 'it's alive' comment, very apropriate
