  1. Here's photo#7 It's a 260z. I have never heard of these being a 25th anniversary model... The factory restored cars was a marketing ploy from Nissan carried out in the states, total of 38 LHD low vin 240Z mainly purchased from arizona and california. I think it's a 260z with a 300zx anniversary badge somone has put on, But if I'm proved wrong I think we'd all be racing up there to buy it
  2. So the travel is 10mm and the bump stops are the chasis rails hitting the road It must have ride quality of a tram. Form over function.
  3. Mmmmmm pretty cable ties draw your eye away from the welding
  4. It's very 'unique' you either love it or loathe it. I like the war paint version, the old style looked like a backyard experiment gone wrong. Unless there's HUGE adjustment in the suspension.... could it have airbags like those rude low hilux's I see from time to time Most things look great on a Z except wail tails lol
  5. Aren't those badges off Z31 anniversary models, Apart from looking new and shiny I thought the only difference of the restored 240's was they came with was a certificate of authenticity from Nissan and a 12mnth warranty. I thought this was only done in the USA
  6. How long would you need it for? I might be able to help....
  7. I also run those, made a big difference to my turn in, easy to fit and return to normal if required.
  8. On my 240z I run 340lb/in front with KYB AGX 4 way adjustable shocks. Rears are 220lb/in with koni red adjustable inserts.
  9. Woohoo, thanks guys!
  10. Fufu mentioned it when he had 'common fuse blowing' but it doesn't give too much detail, also he never actually said it worked. Do you know what color wires the 260z volt gauge runs? Is it big white with red trace(+12v), earth, then light?
  11. I recently had alternator problems in my 240z and found my fuel/ammeter gauge to be totally useless Does anyone know if a 260z/280z fuel/volt gauge will swap straight in? Are the sender units the same?
  12. very nice, how much was it?
  13. Have you checked the rockers and valve clearances? I threw a rocker arm and had a similar problem. Welcome, you should find a solution here
  14. 8.7k Doesn't look bad at all, but is hard to judge from pics.
  15. Jaycar sell a diy air/fuel meter that I used to tune my setup. Was about $60 required an 02 sensor, +12v, earth wire. Then drive around and tune away, it gives a digital readout. Can take a pic later today
  16. Whoa! Almost sound like he grabs 6th gear at the very end
  17. 73 240z full interior, road reg Original standard L28 with 72 deg cam, MSD ingnition, 6 Keihin carbs and extractors Hilux fronts, R31 rears, front coil overs and rear standard suspension. 6point bolt in cage, Bridgestone RE55S semi's Driver 103kg's Damn cheesy crust pizza, it's soooo tasty! Phillip Island - 1.58
  18. If it's anything like a 240z temp sensor (brass sensor with metal threaded sleeve) you'll need to remove it and clean it up as the corrosion between stops them from working, Also if there's no water they don't sense air/steam So it'll work if there's water in it Baz from datsport said when replacing a head gasket run the engine with no water until 'spit sizzles' on the head then shut it off allow to cool then run with water in the system...... Don't think I'd be that game, you may have done this method by accident Simon

8-) Wow nice! White always looks best :-D
  20. Thanks mate, just weighing up weather I do it myself or not... For that sort of money I may have a crack at it
  21. I need a new voltage regulator and bearings in my 60amp 280zx Alternator, anyone had this done and know how much it'll cost.. Roughly? I'm pretty sure it's a 280zx it has one way diode fitted.
  22. Sound very rich, my set never started without chokes. Check that the needle jets aren't sticking and staying fully down.
  23. Mine does look similar, looks like I'll be doing that upgrade soon then. Yes plumber but my skills finish with pipes.... and stuff
  24. Ok, very well thought out, did you notice any difference with it? Do you know if 240/260's would beifit from this kind of handywork also?
