yes have done it to my 79 datsun 280zx, get the crossmember as well , makes life alot easier -

I use a Kazz LSD which is plated on the road, once bedded in it is fine and probably better if you are running higher HP

Get sone flat steel and drill holes so you can bolt the plates to the datsun rails, that is what I did with sone autotechnika seats once.
