  1. Well done Herrods.
  2. Oh yeah, I have tried to freeze the account so if anymore emails come through can you let me know on this thread. Cheers, Brad
  3. Sorry about that mate, some one has got into my GMAIL account. Probably a good idea to start changing some of my passwords, have been getting lasy with that.
  4. Dave, What about lowering the nose of the diff? I have found that my diff points up 5 deg and my engine/trans I will have pointing down 3deg, so I still have to lower my diff nose quite a bit to get equal angles on my driveshaft. I am using uni-joints though so as long as my joints are within 0.5deg of each other they should be fine. My drive shaft will not be straight like yours (angle on each uni joint but both will be equal and opposite).
  5. Ha, I think you will find it is to fund something like an excel or corolla or another very boring daily driver. Makes it even harder in those circumstances hey mate. Understand the motives though mate and your probably doing the smart move in the long run.
  6. Ha, I did the same thing, good thing is it doesn't drain the battery because the laser just gets too hot to work, leave it for a couple of hours and it is good again. Sorry mate, will leave your thread alone.
  7. Remember you talking to me about this when Ron first started his. Good to see you kept to your guns. Peter, I have been doing the same thing as you with the laser pointers (actually they even look like the same cheap laser pointers). What I have found is that the lasers are not very well aligned, I.E. you put it on a flat surface and it will not point true perpendicular to the surface. So I found I would turn my output shaft and the pointer would draw a circle with a radius of about 30mm a metre away on the diff. Once you understand the error in the tools you can correct for it, just be mindfull that they never point straight.
  8. What did you put aside for him Peter? Sorry for taking away from your thread Shaun, but at least I am bringing your add to the top again.

    Queensland Floods

Ah no worries, sorry it was too late.
  10. How many 40ft containers are you bringing back? Have fun.
  11. Shaun, I was waiting for yours, I think you might be covering a bit with your story though. You saw a user name of someone downloading hey, I reckon you saw something to download titled sexual sushi. HA. Brad

    Queensland Floods

Should have called, I could have come and driven one of them, shed had two spaces free. Glad it wasn't required though. Brad
  13. Ok, for that price I will take the yellow one. No, seriously though it is crap when you have to sell your gear, so good luck with the sale. I can vouch for Shaun, good honest bloke. Brad
  14. Welcome mate, keep an eye on the qld section for upcoming events. Also, there is the qld z car club http://www.zcarclubq.org.au/ which has events as well.
  15. Middle name (was grandfathers name but everyone called him Jack), no interesting story. Only place I haven't been able to use it was ebay.
  16. Just look through here http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/49115-22-owners/
  17. +1 for no radio. Go and spoil yourself on a good house stereo and you will realise nothing sounds good in car stereos anymore. Then you will be happy to just experience the drive. Besides, only a few of us daily drive these things. What about the vent to the right of the driver? I never use that because I just unwind the window. Or are you both saving that vent for when you turbo charge your NA motors and want a boost gauge, ha.
  18. I'll have to have a think about it mate, didn't expect that they would have a rear bar available as well. Can you ask about the construction of the 2+2 bar. Are they one piece or do they have to do them in the three piece standard configuration? If I was going to go with them I would be after one piece bars front and rear without any holes. Looks like it would be cheaper to get them all sent to one spot then freighted within australia.
  19. I have a 2+2 so would be interested in a front only. However I want one with no holes drilled as I don't want the rubber bits attached.
  20. My windows were tinted by the previous guy, but I will definitely add a darker tint one day, I think tinting really sets the car off. I also think you should be one of the last guys on this forum worrying what the purists think, can anyone say 570z???
  21. Might still be score for it, just remember it may not be just a case of adding 11 inches to the middle
  22. Rear end of a2+2 is quite a bit different at rear since there is room to rear of the door.
  23. Not trying to bust your chops Benny, but you're not going to convince me. Having said that, I definitely prefer to spend my own time working on the car then getting someone else to do the work, however I know that I am loosing money doing so. Steve, that is just being mean now I like it.
  24. As a contractor I know what my time is worth. So to me spare time is very valuable. Whether you love doing the work or not it is still time that could have been spent on a project you want to keep rather then sell. saying your time is free is never correct no matter how you put it.
