  1. ok buddy.. haha.. "PRO" circut racer and all.. far from rally my back side.. haha And you will find family's at other motorsport's events.. being they went there on there own accord correct? haha highly unlikely... Anyways, everyone has there own motorsport they like. All im saying is, i circuit race, and drift.. why dont you get out and have an actuall go at drift.. see how nancy boy it really is..
  2. He is sort of right, Dori dori is all about showing off, from your technique, to how your car looks, it's all about the show off factor. Then, there is the on track skill, having to ability to put your car into situations that it normally wouldn't be put through, And still having control of the vehicle to make it do what you want it to do. And there is the balls behind it, have you got the ball to go more than 100+, scandanavian flick the car and continue it around a corner.. then transition the car to then go the opposite direction, still whilst maintaining control, In amongst this.. staying on the leaders door handle and trying to over take him. Hmm.. nancy brother motorsport.. NAH.. Circuit sounds so much more pansy to me.. sure.. you may reach more top speeds along the straights..(yawns..boring).. though when a corner comes.. oooppss.. get some grip.. turn in.. hit the apex.. perfect exit.. oh no.. dont let the back end slide.. we dont want to loose traction..(yawns again.. double boring.. i can still do that in my drift car) Dorifto is only really rally on tarmac.
  3. Hmm, i'll give a real answer i think, over the last two clowns. It's really only up to your suspension setup. Improved diff. Power really doesn't come into effect until you get the experience courage to start sliding 100m before the corner. Take the car the a proper suspension shop, not pedders, and tell them what you want it for. A bit of a basic concept would be to stiffen the roll of the car(stronger sway bars. You want a stronger bar on the rear to naturally induce over steer), lower the car slightly(this is for centre of gravity, not too look wanky), You want to push the caster on your front wheels forward(this enables the wheels to naturally swing back and forth when your transitioning through corners), stiffer spring rates. Stronger clutch, better brakes all round. That is a starting point. Then from there you want to look at performance, better tyres etc etc. There is a 240z here in brisbane who competes in dori comps.
  4. haha, thats funny, im sure the guys on here know whats a bargain, and what needs more work than whats its worth. I think mine was more a bargain.
  5. ha ha.. i don't know brad, I'm not sure if i could handle your singing.. lol
  6. Hey people, im thinking about audio setups in my z at the moment, though im no where near this point in my build. Anyways, im after photo's of what head units people have in the 260z for location etc.. as i have no interior, i was thinking about a custom center console etc for my audio gear.. what have you guys got? Thanks.
  7. so does the qld sector have these courses?
  8. Well i was actually looking for something in the 17inch size in all honesty.Though im not even at the stage to buy wheels yet, ive still got to put the interior in before i think about wheels.
  9. Do these bolt straight onto the hub? Ie, with standard struts and suspension gear? Or do they need spacers with coil overs etc? Thanks.
  10. im interested in the front air dam if you split the car for parts. In brisbane, so a road trip to pick it up would be easy. thanks.

  13. oh man.. ive got the nissan stripped down at the moment, re doing the cooling system.. i'll try and have it completed by then greg, Im still keen to give this a bash.
  14. sorry guys i cant make it this round..
  15. RB shifters have a thicker diameter to the 260 stick. Bugger.
  16. is it for the 260z 5 speed gear lever thread? Id be interested if it is.
  17. if a little kia did this, what would a big car do?
  18. Damn what happened?
  19. Well.. i did put the steering arm on a block of wood to raise it, and with the nut back on, i was striking it downwards as in trying to knock it out of the socket so to speak. The manual says its a taper fit. So maybe i should try hitting it on the outside? What is a dead blow hammer?
  20. Is this a ball joint remover your talking about? I think i saw one at the auto shop the other week and made a scoffed remark of "what fool would need to buy one of those". Looks like im the fool lol
  21. Hey guys, i'm having difficulty in removing the lower ball joints from the steering arms. I want to take them off so i can fit up my new steering rack boots, but cannot get them off? Is there some sort of tool i need to buy or trick to it? Thanks.
  22. so have you got the things ive asked for?
