[QLD] - Brisbane prefecture regular city meet ("lounge meets")
mtopxsecret6 replied to mtopxsecret6's topic in Events
Hey people, we going for another cruise/meet/bbq soon? We haven't had one in a long time.... -
just tell them you want to find the current owner of the vehicle as it is of sentimental value and you wish the get it back into the family. I don't see any lying there. It's up to the police on wether they give you permission to gain the information, under any grounds you claim to need the information. If that just made any sense.. haha.
-
use the rego plate it had and up track to the current owners steve.
-
Steve, why dont you go to the police department, and request for owner details. You will need the rego plate, and fill out a stat dec as to why you want the details, and you can get all the details on the car and owners. You the take this information form from the police and front q transport. You do this system for hit and runs etc etc. so you can get the details if you give a good enough cause.

The first video sounds like there is no oil pressure at all, lots of rocker metal to metal tapping and barely running. How have they wired the ecu in? i would start there, the compatability from the original to the aftermarket ignition system could be the issue. If you cant work it out, you can donate the car to me... lol

when is this looking to be done? -
the rb20de/t do not have vct, the rb25de/t do. So r33 motor and up is what you want for vct, not vvt, its a nissan, not a toyota motor. The crank angle sensor runs on the exhuast side or the head, and the vct runs on the inlet side of the head. You can bolt the non vct rb25de(r32, not r33) head straight onto an rb30 block, though it will not be vct. You can bolt later model rb25/26 heads on, though you have to weld up oil/water gallaries, and re drill new ones, as the single cam block was never ment to have a twin cam head, which is why the oil/water gallaries dont match. The rb25de non vct is of the same era blue print, so will bolt straight on. Though getting a non vct rb25de head is extremely hard.

i'll come on the weekend of the 25th. -
hmm.. i dont see a gtr and 10k worth of value in a 260. Or any early z for that fact. Your probably best selling your gtr and buying a z through other avenues.

Yeah,it's fouling from too much fuel. -
weak to no spark on cylinder 1 and 3
mtopxsecret6 replied to mtopxsecret6's topic in Electrical systems
Ok, I didn't buy a coil, i got a new rotor button, and points. That didn't fix the issue. So i pulled out all the plugs, and they were all black and covered in goo. So i cleaned them up and now its running on all six again. I think the carbs need a good tune. -

i do understand ohms law. I'm off to buy a coil this morning. see if that fixes the problem. -

by those figures.. your not even geeting 14-17 i the first place?? Ive got a lead checker.. which has a light on it.. and it flashes when it has a signal.. and how bright it is determines how strong the spark.. etc.. hmm.. try a spare coil.. thats not a bad idea.. -

the dissy cap and posts seem to all look fine, the rotor button seems fine, i went through and cleaned it all up when i first tried kicking it all over. All the new parts and the cleaning ive done has only have a few hours running since i started the car some time ago. I think it might be the coil possibly. i might try that first. -

Ok, ill process of elimination. Though i have recently bought new plugs, leads. Which is why it lead me to the dissy. Ill buy a new coil too i guess. -
Hey guys, i started to notice last time i ran my 26 that it was running rough. I used a lead checker tonight and noticed that cylinder 1 and 3 have very little spark. The others are fine, gave me a wallop when pulling the leads off.. though not 1 and 3. Does this mean distributor time? thanks.

I got there at 11, and it was a few cars only. Mainly colts, 929's. After driving from ipswich.. i didnt even bother getting out of the car, that was a wasted morning for me.

you can make any car go fast, from a barina to a ss commodore. All cars are capable to exceed the speed limit, all cars are capable of accelerating swiftly to the speed limit from the traffic lights. Every vehicle is a dangerous weapon. Remember, it's police judgement, we can all try and describe what the hooning laws are, though at the end of the day, were not the one's issuing the fines to ourselves. Time and time again, how many good cops are there really.. once have power.. power usually goes to head.
-
Hooning does not have a definative description, its up to the descretion of the police officer who is fining you. So 10k's over.. or 100k's over, if the officer says hooning, your being fined as a hoon. Its the courts that decide if crushing occurs or not. You can be fined for hooning under any manner the police so chooses.. ie.. loud exhaust, too low car.. defective car.. excess speeding etc.. The officer says your performing hooing activites.. first is 24hr suspension of car.. 2nd offence is 3 months suspension.. and then 3rd offence is court hearing for you to say why it shouldnt be crushed.. and the courts decide the fate of your car. So, if Mr truck driver is a known speeder.. and after countless times of being caught/warned.. Mr popo just needs to fine him for hooning behaviour.. the cycle begins.. same as mother taking kids to school.. etc etc It's a very viscious new ruling.. with a very easy police empowerment.. Anyone who drives a motor vehicle or motor bike on public roads, are all at risk. If your a bmw test driver, or a regular lout ripping fish tales up your street with a vb in one hand.. we all can be caught as easy as two words.. hooning offence.
-
whats the difference between a "hoon" with an underpowered car screaming around the streets on a regular basis, or a truck driver on a busy schedule with a delivery to be made, regularly going over the speed limit to meet dead lines?? A mother always sleeping in and always running late to get the kids to school.. a courier with x amounts of jobs to be delivered.. All breaking the rules.. regularly.. why is it, that young drivers, mostly in particular males, are classified as hoons? When a study has been conducted and proven that women are more dangerous on the road, not from hooning activities, though from driving too safely and not with the general traffic. i think its a load or truck manure.. whats stopping that "hoon", or truck driver, or school mum from buying another car.. commiting the crime.. and then buying another car.. commiting the crime again...you get the idea. They may loose there license.. though theres a chance it may not stop them from driving. Basically i say NO to car crushing.. It isn't going to fix the problem.

ha ha no fighting here guys.. just putting our motorsport interests on the table.. for me 1. dori 2. circuit. Its different for everybody.
