  1. Could mount a set of roof racks and fix one to that. Sorry trying to be funny. My mate has one in his Z. Must ask where he got it from. Will let you know.
  2. Any takers.
  3. Metallic and what a bitch to paint for a first timer. It ain't perfect but will do me for a few years. Looks plain in the shade but in sun really sparkles.
  4. Nah, Didn't win enough to post a letter. :'(
  5. Keep going man and you will get there. The interior shots of the blue one looks exactly the same as mine was. All faded to different colours.
  6. thanks Steve, Green it be.
  7. Thanks mate. The trimmer just used top quality vinyl and matching leather and copied the original stitch lines. It is not pure white, but like the original off white Datsun colour. I am real happy with the result. The carpet is a drop in kit that come out of my parts car and is almost brand new. I have ordered a new console from the US of A just to top it off. The old one is broken in a few places and would look crusty amonst all that nice new leather and vinyl.
  8. Try Bigworm His car is listed in Cars For Sale. $2200
  9. Found anotherbit I need. go to top.
  10. The one in the pic is the drivers side and different from passenger side as it has a lever for rear passenger to move the back of the seat forward. No lever on drivers side for rear passenger. Yes it is a 2+2 and maybe were not on 2 seaters. Funny thing my parts car was missing the passenger side one as well.
  11. Hi has anyone got the plastic cover for the passenger seat mech. If so PM me with price and postage. Thanks. Also after the little bit that fits in the bottom driver side door lever.
  12. Getting old, forgot to put pics up. Here they are.
  13. If I win the $31mil on lotto tonight that car is mine. : : :
  14. Keep going mate. My BUS is almost finished after almost 3 years.
  15. Interior almost finished. Fitted seat belts today. Fronts are good. Backs not so good. Will have to see what can be done but who is going to sit in the back anyway. Back seat in and drivers seat. Have to put the passenger side together yet and chuck it in. Another week on hols yet and who knowes, might be on the road soon. Can't wait after nearly 3 years. Have two working clocks so I will fit one in and keep the other for a spare. Cost $120.00 to get them working. Great feeling just to sit in it and pretend I am out on the road. Hoping for some fine weather to lay a couple more coats of clear on the front then fit the lights, bar and grill then we are off to get it reg. ;D
  16. Wasn't having a go at lawyers only they earn a lot more $ than the average bear. and to buy this car you would need mega bucks to fix it.
  17. Surprise surprise. The trimmer turned up today to finish the car. Glued the trim on the tunnel and has only the sun visors to do and with a lot of luck he is bringing them back tomorrow. Can't complain too much as it is a cash job and not his bread and butter work. He has done a great job though and not at a great cost.
  18. Where did this car end up? Buyer must not have read this post.
  19. Merry Christmas and all the best for 2011. Although this not a good day to post this message I will not be near a PC for a week. I hope every thing went ok with Kyle's funeral and have been thinking of him all day. :'( Sadly we have to go on living and must look to a bright future and tackle what crap that is thrown up in our faces so once again Merry Christmas Happy New Year.
  20. These babys have got to go. Who wants them?
  21. Makes sense as very hard to work on your back. I tried it then built the BBQ out of engine stands. In never tipped it all the way over but it was a dream to work on at right angles. Again check my build thread. Have many more pics if you need any ideas. Also try the search function on this site as other members have posted a lot of the same thing and that is where I got my ideas from and the Atlantic site. Search function saves a lot of hours on the computer. Top right hand is a box. Type in what your looking for eg. {rails} click search and away you go. Good luck.
  22. Will not be there in person but will be there in my mind. :'(
  23. Not sure but it is hard to get panel beaters to fix rails. Just do it and paint heaps of blackstuff on and don't tell them.
  24. Best I can measure the steel is at least 1mm thick. Inside 64mm Ht 40mm. This will slip over old rail and you can spot or continues weld them in place. Hope this helps.
  25. What I found was mine had been repaired before {capped} in places where the original was bashed up. Only prob with capping without cutting is you can't see what is underneath and you are creating a place for rust. At least when you cut the bottoms off you can treat the rust.
