  1. Thanks Mick, the shocks are a different type to McPherson strut type that fit Z's. I checked out the Konie site and have it all sorted now. Just have to go for a drive to get the feel of it then start on the front. Have set them on soft with lowered King springs so should give a good ride and not be like a go kart. Peter
  2. Looks good as I will be in town that week. Put me down and if anything pops up so I can't get there I will let you know.
  3. Does this mean you are moving to QLD. Thought the OLD might have been a typo. LOL
  4. Just about to fit NEW King springs and Koni reds out of parts car. After reading this I have found that when I fully compress shocks, that is where they stay. Does that mean they are stuffed or out of gas. Have figured out the adjustment from soft to hard but not sure why they stay all the way in when what I have read here they should slowly extend out. Help.
  5. Have bought a lot of bits from him with no trouble.
  6. Sounds like a Min Min light but usually not seen that far south. Must have been the "NAIL"
  7. That's one mean harmonic balancer, looks like the fly wheel is on the wrong end. Great TA as well.
  8. Hi, good to see another bus coming together. God there is some serious wiring under the bonnet. Reminds me of a girl I knew once. LOL. Check your strut clearence at the front with those wheels as I couldn't fit my 15x8's at the front without going to coil overs. Where are you in Brissie. Send me a PM if you need help.
  9. Thanks Paul, I am aware of the health issues and the problems that were caused by what happened in Japan earlier this year, but the least one could expect is to get a refund if the parts can't be supplied any more and I can source them elseware. After all it has been nine months.
  10. Are these people still open. Warren has owed me some bits that I have paid for since March and I can't get any responce either by phone, fax or e-mail. Add the cost of calls I am out of pocket to the tune of about $200.00 ???
  11. Most of the smells I get is form the car I am following as my Z only has 2/40 air con. I have no issues with fuel odour as I have replaced all seals and hoses and use the 2/40 air con all the time while driving unless it is raining.
  12. Go to settings on your smart phone, I pad and turn off locations. Works for me and the Boss can"t find me.
  13. Right back at you big guy and girl and the same from me to everyone here. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND ALL THE BEST FOR 2012
  14. Thanks Scoota, dumb ass here couldn't find it. So it looks like I am getting pretty close to every one else. Might try smaller jets in the Holly.
  15. Hi All, Filled up the Z this morning after the run last weekend to check economy. The run consisted of some highway driving [100 kph] some uphill [Mt Tamborine] and some hard stuff to keep up with Aubrey. Worked it out and I am getting around 13ltr per 100km. Does this look OK considering the dunny door returns 9 to 10 for normal driving. Also had two shotgun riders with me in the bus.
  16. Last lot.
  17. Some more.
  18. Here are some of my pics.
  19. Got mine today (polo) And I got to say, support this guy as the shirt is great and every one sold a donation goes to this forum. Great work Patch. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
  20. What a great day and top load of blokes and girls. The run was great it as was the first long drive in my car and it didn't let me down. Sorry Aub. I was a bit nervous taking over as lead car but had two great guys riding shotgun telling me where to go, untill Aub caught up and took over as lead again. We have to do this again in the new year. I really enjoyed the looks of people passing us on the M1 with so many Z's to pass before they got to the lead car. Of course the ones behind me were much better looking than mine. I mean the cars not the drivers. I hope everyone enjoyed the BBQ and got home safely. I will let Shaun post pics as my son in law was in charge of the camera and I got to say he needs to take a course in photography. Thanks to everyone who help organise this event, you know who you are, and all you people who turned up to make it a great day. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) Forgot to say Merry Christmas and all the best in the new year to all forum members. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  21. Hi, Covered area at the back of house is 6mtr by 12mtr and shed is about 9mtr square so plenty of room. Sorry no cover for cars but plenty of space. Back yard is good atm, heaps of drive way space, and plenty of street parking. Quiet street as it goes nowwhere and very wide with line marking. Will OK with neighbours to park on there spaces on path, should not be a prob. Dave, 24 Dat is also bringing a fold up thingy. Just bring a fold up chair if you have one. Plan "B"is just in case it is pissing down and we can't do the run, but the BBQ will go ahead regardless. Between Shaun, Aub and myself we will keep you posted and look forward to a great day. And to all those guys nervous about insurance, please don't hijack this thread like you did with the original one. If you don't want to bring your Z , come in your wife's car, you will still be welcome.
  22. Only a few days to go. Make sure you register with Shaun by Friday or Saturday at the latest. I have plenty of steak and there will more than enough for everyone. Just need numbers for buns, salad etc. Did a check on the Z last Friday and noticed the manifold gasket had a leak at no 6 exhaust so managed to change it and only have the exhaust to bolt back up when I get home from CQ on Thursday. Old cars, don't you just love them.
  23. Its at the of the page.
  24. What about Polo shirts. Not a fan of tee-shirts.
