That makes five. I am in Rocky ATM and the Capricorn Region Comp was on Sunday. I was a judge for the Pork sausage section and the Gourmet. 58 entries in the gourmet and I hope the cheese and kisses doesn't have snags for dinner when I get home Thursday night. There are always some really good ones and some you just have spit out. Apart from that it is going to be a great drive in the Z cars.

No mate, have taken parts off for sons car and the body is full of rust. Motor runs sweet and is a 5 speed. Everything is included even the rusted body. Still has diff which are getting rare.

I have a Rb30 and 5speed complete. Still in R31 wagon so can start it up. You can have the lot ,yes everything, for $1200.00.

They are the standard King low springs for a 2+2. Only been in for about 18 Months or so. I replaced rails with ones that a sheet metal place made for me and the rails may sit a bit lower than originals. Driver side is lower as the fuel and brake lines run along side rail. As I said if you are not in a hurry, I will give you a shout when I get them out.

Damm, I just bought a new set of standard King springs for my car. Have a set of the lowered ones still in the car if you are not in a hurry. Be aware though they will drop the car below the 100mm legal limit. My low set are only about 18 months or so old.

OK this is how I see it happening. Hook out the Ipswich Motorway and take the Toowoomba/Esk exit {LEFT LANE} and after a K or so there is transport dept temporary weighbridge area that has heaps of room for stopping. I will be there from 7..45AM. Depart at 8.30 sharp and proceed along Darren Lockyer Way {Warrego Highway} and take the old way through Gatton and stop at Withcott just below the Range for a rest before proceeding up the range to the Picnic Point Café & Restaurant 164 Tourist Road, Rangeville. [Toowoomba] Enjoy some great snags from Western Qld best Butchers, look around, relax or go for a drive before returning home at your own discretion or travel back as a group. Just make sure brakes are in good order for the down hill run. PM me if you are coming and I will send back Mobile No in case you are late and we can let you catch up. All come at your own risk as my car is fully reg and insured. I will not be liable for any costs that you may incur along the way but the snags are free. ZCCQ are welcome to come along for the ride. Do what you have to do to attend but all are welcome. I am going anyway in the Z. Good time to meet some Toowoomba Z people as well. Cheers.

I am going to go and would like as per last year to park with the ZCCQ guys so all Zeds are together.

Filled my Z with lanolin. Runs out for days and doesn't smell and is easy to clean up on the outside. Have you ever seen a rusty sheep.

What gets me is the boys in blue are never around my area Friday and Saturday afternoon and night when all the hoons are out but come Monday morning they are on the bottom of the hill on the service road catching all the people going to work or Mums taking their kids to school where it is easy to go a bit over 60 due to the slope if you are not carefull. I am sure the ones getting booked are not the ones leaving all the black burnout marks on the road.

Still a while to go Aub. I will do a run up Ipswich way next week end and pick a good place to meet.

Hi Aub, does 8am sound better and be on the road by 8:30. We could meet up some where around Redbank or there is a rather large truck / car layby on the highway at Dinmore just after the Ipswich / Toowoomba turn off. Any suggestions?

Thanks Mark, recieved the sender and works ok. Only problem it leaks heaps of fuel from the pos conection. Might explain why a lot of Z's have a fuel smell problem. Had to put the old one back in and bent it a bit more so maybe it might read better. I know I can get about 500k out of a full tank so will fill her up and set the trip meter. I still need to fix you up for your trouble so what do you suggest.

Passed with flying colours. Have Mod Plates fitted and fully legal. Inspector said that this is not the type of car that will be targeted as it has only minor alterations unless I start to do burn outs etc. Although being under 100mm on one side he said not to worry about it as most police were not even born when this car was made. Just smile and say yes officer this is how they were made. If any probs just wack the standard springs back in the front and bobs your uncle. ;D ;D ;D

Thanks Alan, will see how I go next week. I have less than 100mm clearance on one side for some reason. The chassis rails are a bit lower on the driver side. Might just get a set of standard springs and put back in as I don't race it but like the look of the car sitting a bit lower. I am making the car fully legal in view of the new laws coming in and don't want any reason for having some young boy in blue to take it off me. The boys have been pretty active in my area lately and I see at least one car a week being loaded on to a tow truck for what reason I don't know but I don't want it to be my Z. Will let you know how I go.

Need a set urgently as I tossed mine and now with inspection next week, car is not 100mm off the ground. Pick up Brisbane only.
