Welcome m8, 5 of us were up in Toowoomba on Sunday and meet Matty and we all got home ok. Do it right and these cars go for ever. Enjoy the ride.

Great to see all got home OK and enjoyed the run up the mountain and the stop at Deafy's place and the snags. I left Toowoomba about four pm and came home via the boring range road. Shit it was cold, sorry about chasing you out of the judging area Aub but hope you enjoyed the plate of snags I rewarded you with. Thanks to you all for coming for the drive. Sorry about the weather, I had no control over that. Now we have to wait for Shaun to post some of his pics .

Should be there around 10 Matty. Leaving Ipswich 8.30 with a stop on the way. Before 11.00 anyway. See you all in the morning. Sorry you cant come Zac.

So far it looks like six of us. Shaun Alan Greg Aub Zac Me My mate is coming down from Hervey Bay for the run but not in his Z. All welcome to come even if not in a Z as will be good to stop at mates shed at Gatton to see his air brush work and meet up with MGB 's for the run up the mountain not to mention all the great snags to get into. We will going the Flagstone Creek Road so will be a great drive. I have to stay till about 4PM for the presentation to finish so we can travel back together or leave at your own pace. I think 'The Bus' terminology is only amongst Z owners. The average bear these days wouldn't know the difference between a two seater or 2+2 unless they were parked side by side. Or a 240 or 260 for that matter. Some racing guys will tell you the 'bus' handles better due to the longer wheel base but in my case I just wanted a Z. I had a 240 which was my first Z but sold it because I thought the repairs were beyond me then I got the 'Bus' and got into it and with help from all the folks on this site have a really good car, which suits me down to the ground. I guess younger people would find the prestige of a 2 seater greater. That is in their nature. If I was 20 again I would be after a 2 seater so my mates couldn't make a move on my girlfriend. These days I throw the old girl in the back seat and chat to my mate while driving. Keeps everyone happy. I'm safe because the cheese and kisses never looks at this site and don't any of you tell her what I posted.

You can see quite a bit of rust in the Car Sales pics and I guess it also reflects in the asking price. Would be a big job I think.

I can have a look at for you if you want. I think I know what I am talking about. Check out my build thread. Have a wee amount of experience. The price is good if the rust is not so bad. Sun roof scares me though.

There are some really nice 2+2 cars out there. Take mine for example. You get some really great looks on the road and always have the advantage of taking two friends for a drive instead of one. I have had some big guys in the back of my car and once you get them in it is quite comforty, so they tell me. Getting them out can be a problem. LOL Nothing wrong with 2 seaters except the owners are too scared to drive them much as they are getting quite rare. Can't see the point of of spending a lot of money on a car just to sit in the shed. I am out and about in my 2+2 every chance I get.

I live just down the road and I must say I have never seen this car on local roads and I get out and about a fair bit. Another thing it has a sun roof. OUCH.

Yes we will be going the Flagstone Creek Road from Gatton. Have a mate along there that is a wizard with a paint gun. His passion is air brushing so we will be able to see some of his work. May have a few mates meet us there in MGB'S but who cares, they look like Z,s without a roof. LOL. See you all at the take off point on Sunday at 8.30. After wiring up my headlights [75 260 2+2] as per diagrams available here and elsewhere and not having any joy I have found this guy on the GC to make a kit for me. Will post how it goes. Tim at www.traxide.com.au

Hi Shaun, I have got one of those diff stoopers. Great guy to deal with where you got it from. I couldn't figure out how the red overhead mount was to bolt on to the diff so used the the standard underside mount. If anyone wants the red bit it is hanging my shed. I also have spare black bump stops if you cut yours too short like I did.

Nice ride M8. Now I can see why my jack won't fit. I have a scissor type that doesn't fit on the back floor under the thingy for it. Now I have to start looking for a good old wind up type.

Got some more bling today. My wife's wedding anniversary present. Hell roses only whittle and die.

Hi, if for some reason you are late getting to the take off point or the transport guys are using this spot on Sunday 2nd June, call me on O four one two 2 three 6 five 9 9 and We will wait further along the highway. The cheese and kisses will answer as I don't have hands free in the Z. There are plenty of places along the highway to stop and wait. Will be a great day out. If you like your snags on bread with sauce you will have to bring own but the snags are free. If you would like to be a judge in the comp let me know and I can advise AMIC . I must warn you though if you are are a judge you will not want to eat sausages for a while. LOL.
