Some good information here guys. I appreciate you guys sharing your knowledge, I'm learning something all the time.
  2. I reckon go for it, there's plenty of people smashing up their Z's in rallies and at tracks anyway. It would look pretty sweet too!
  3. You sure learn to be fast at winding down the windows in this heat that's for sure!
  4. Welcome to the forums, that's a lovely Z you've got there.
  5. I just believe in using the right tool for the job, 4wd's and trucks are designed to tow/haul heavy things around, sports-cars generally aren't. EDIT: But if you want to tow something, go right ahead. It's a free country.
  6. I really can't see the old Z taking the strain of towing anything to be honest. Towing is for 4wd's and suv's, not sports cars.
  7. I'll take one of those L28 engines, ta That R200 diff, can you put new LSD internals into it? Bit of a noob with this stuff but keen to learn. EDIT: Did some research (read: used the search function on the forum) and will take the R200 as well. EDIT 2: Post needs more smilies
  8. Merry Christmas everyone!
  9. I was forlornly kicking around the JNC forums and found this post by one of the mods: There is light at the end of the tunnel!
  10. Personally I think a separate section for donating members is a bad idea, I think you run the risk of creating a 'second forum' and an elitist streak may begin to creep in among the donating members. They may refer to other threads for previous information which others won't be able to access etc. I believe all the information should be available to everyone, information on Z stuff is hard enough to come by as it is.
  11. Here you go, they should have direct download links for all the episodes. http://wanganmidnightanime.blogspot.com/
  12. 90's Japanese Tuner showdown including the Excellent Speed S30Z (love their names!) showing the young'uns a thing or two! Until the incident that is. :-\ EDIT: Mind the random panty shots. Part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n61WYPqgHJM Part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPpxkgpXmtk

  14. Haha I am one of those 12 yo fanboys! Just ahead of the curve, maybe.
  15. Hey guys, Speedhunters just did an article on the beautiful TA Auto 240ZG and I thought I'd share it with you all: http://speedhunters.com/archive/2009/12/14/car-feature-gt-gt-ta-auto-nissan-240zg.aspx
  16. Another Z cleaning up on the track in Japan
  17. Loved the first pic
  18. I got mine but only got one when I ordered 2. Hopefully the second one is just in transit or something. :-\
  19. It's bark is worse than it's bite
  20. Even though my Z is pretty slow most people back off once the L24 begins to sing.
  21. My tyre experience is minimal, but I can tell you they grip very well in the dry (managed to keep up with sco_aus on the run to Tidbinbilla - his RB25 isn't tuned properly but still! ) and in the wet. I tend to drive very defensively in the wet though. Tyre wear is... good, I think. (I'm not very sure on what is good or not but they seem to be holding up well after 6 months.) They cost me 140.50 a tyre, 562.00 all up. 215/60R15 XL 98H according to the receipt. As you can see I'm not very technical when it comes to cars, I'm just a dude. Doing my best to learn.
  22. I'm using Pirelli P6's, expensive (for me anyway) but they're the best tyres I've ever had.
  23. I feel for you mate, I hope it never happens to my car, but knowing the amount of dropkicks on the road my odds don't look good. :'( Hope you find whoever did it.
  24. What do old folk say instead of 'pretty cool'?
