  1. Do you still have a starter motor? If so whereabouts in Sydney are you?
  2. I have the same problem and after searching around it's a poor grounding problem [for me anyway] probably worth looking at.
  3. After consultation with a mechanic mate. I've discovered the starter is dead, fusible links are blown and the door needs a lack and maybe in need of some repair.
  4. Sorry went on holidays and probably a better idea to fix up the L26 anyway.
  5. Having just been down this path expect to pay. For a nice rust free example over 7K if you're lucky less. Mine has plenty of rust and problems but was ridiculosly cheap and is driveable and roadworthy. Cheap 2+2 in sydney in good condition don't count on it. You will probably have to ship it from melbourne [larger population] not easy.
  6. Hi whereabouts in sydney are you I'm near the Wahroonga area in Normanhurst could you email me a price and pics to tomstrom@live.com.au.Thanks Tom.
  7. How much did you want for it and whereabouts in sydney are you?
  8. Here's one the was a really nice orange new one but it went. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/WOLF3D-V4-WIRE-IN-ECU-RB30-RB25-VL-SILVIA-SR20-CA18-13B_W0QQitemZ130329291529QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Car_Parts_Accessories?hash=item1e583b2b09&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 EMS is pretty goody aswell, saw it used in a skyline in performance imports recently. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/EMS-4860-Engine-Management-System-EFI-ECU-Motorsport_W0QQitemZ110408276499QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Car_Parts_Accessories?hash=item19b4d89a13&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
  9. Are you going from stock then a full write up please as I want to do something similar.
  10. Will do.
  11. Battery is brand new and garvice do you mean battery terminals?
  12. Tried that thanks for you're input anyone else ever experienced this clunk then loss of all electrics?
  13. The ZED is dead. I turn the key electrics come on then turn to start and clink. So I turned it off and then the electric won't come on. The battery isn't the problem. Is there a safety cut out of some sort?
  14. Are you sure you want to use the standard head gasket? Also highly agree with the custom pistons advice definately the go. Also highly agree with the work on the bottom end advice as it is your base and sets the tune for the build, if you want a really nice build make sure the bottom end is sweet, maybe get it cryo'ed. Because if you have and awesome top end and a terrible block you will do damage because the block needs to take the abuse. Also the reason for the higher price of the stroker is the extra care, treatments and precision required eg whats the point of a stroker that drives like a truck and only puts down 200hp - 250hp.
  15. You might be able to pick up some wats on ebay I saw some recently.
  16. A car with a lower center of gravity will still handle better than one with a higher center of gravity and if this is some stupid reaction to some dickhead and his 4wd then that only furthers the case for this unrefined useless rule. In which cars that didn't comply would be given a defect notice engineered or not. "Vehicles modified beyond the limits specified in this VSI No. 50 will not be registered for unrestricted use on roads and road-related areas in NSW." Straight from the VSI 50 pray to god it gets ammended.
  17. Lower centre of gravity = Safer - fact. Sign the petition get in your local pm's face that's what I'm doing and it is a sill rule that is never going to be policed and by God the uproar if they do. Also side note NSW Rta not K.Rudd or government, we are yet to see his position :-\.
  18. Thanks mate but I need black ones cheers.
  19. http://www.superstreetonline.com/featuredvehicles/130_0908_1972_datsun_fairlady_fair_lady_z/index.html Just browsing and came across this and it made my day which was previously ruined by a sump plug.

  21. Crd Zero what are you running? RB swap? Thats and awesome amount of power in a zed.
  22. Good idea with the petrol but i had an idea left the bungs in the freizer overnight and then put them in as they heated up they worked fine. Thanks for the contribution.
  23. Hi my 76 260Z 2+2 has holes in the floor i know their meant to be their and i have the plugs but I can't for the life of me get them in I thought it would come apart any previous experiences installing these? Thanks.
  24. Well my zed and others I have seen have some holes but they are meant to be there and you are meant to have plugs for them something to do with water removal I think.
