  1. Jason, I'm running brakes like that now on the front of my 240Z. You need a set of 260 hubs and Ford Mustang discs. Mods are limited to caliper/disc. If you want to know more, PM me.. I'll find out more info soon.. Just have to ask the relevant people. and if needed, complain!
  2. One thing I hope they mean is if you have a "Classic" 280ZX for example and change its engine management (ECU) to something later would that be moved to modern?
  3. The last sentence has me worried... do they mean just with engine management and an L series engine I'll be bumped up to "Modern" with a 40 year old car and engine? Hope not!
  4. Its come a looooooong way since I saw it last Craig! Well done and keep up the excellent work...
  5. Gareth, the yellows can only be adjusted for bump like the red's; reds have to be removed to be adjusted whereas the yellows are externally adjustable.
  6. Heres the pic of that wire taped to the loom. One of the wires runs through to the rear for a factory pump.
  7. Autobarn sell the Redline brand manifolds.. But spend a few dollars on good rod ends from "Linear Bearings" or any other engineering supplies place to avoid too much slop in the linkage..causes too many headaches.
  8. Bought one from Nissan dealership a few years ago.. Should still be available.
  9. I'm sure if the filter is below the tank level, gravity will take care of the fuel; always filling the filter without the pump needing to suck the fuel through it.. Also, regarding the green wire, looking at a 240Z dash loom removed from a dash board, I found the green wires with the 2 pin plug taped to the main loom near where the fuse block and fan blower looms plug into it. Tomorrow I'll take a pic of it if you still need it.
  10. Welcome.. I was wondering what happened to that zed! It belonged to a NDSOC member here quite a few years ago (8-10?).. a friend and I bought it off him and took some parts off. It had a good L28 with triple Webers. Still had the rust back then but had some quick "repairs" done. Still have some pics of it here somewhere. Good to see it will be running again.
  11. How was it going to the shops and back?
  12. F off "cabletiesandmore"!!
  13. From memory it was there when I first signed up. Unless it has been removed?
  14. Nope... can't find it on my setup either..
  15. Welcome... Any plans achieve the same goal; a zed that looks good and goes hard. Especialy with ITB's! but I'm biased...
  16. I have a pair already with a chain if you want to use Evan.
  17. If you can remove that low profile 12mm nut from the motor to remove the wiper linkage, it makes removal alot easier. It's a bit like a Chinese puzzle but it is possible. Remove the four bolts that hold the motor down and when you lift it, you should have enough clearance to get to that motor nut.
  18. Excuse the hijack, but if you need some guards, I can help...
  19. And I have plenty of gear..come and help yourselves!
  20. You could also swap the skin of the hatch; that is, later frame with an early vented skin?
  21. From memory I only have one side; with the 55mm struts too. Have either but not a pair. Not sure how that worked out?
  22. It's on again for the holiday period..have quite a few guards and bonnets and also good 2+2 doors and rear hatches and heaps of other parts for everyone...
  23. He means buy the Autronic and don't bother with the L28 ECU's..That's a good price!
  24. Correct, that first pic with the green wire runs through to behind the heater control panel. From memory, where it ends at that plug with the second green wire, that wire already has +12V (and one thing to note is the 12V to the pumps must have 12+ always even under crank as some +12 wiring shuts off while under crank so the ignition system gets full power) you just need to wire the 85 & 86 terminals of the relay. The 31 and 87 are connected to those to green wires.
  25. You can use the big chunky green wire that already runs to the back of the z already. It starts from behind the heater control panel and runs to the back were you have mounted the pump. You should find a 2 pin plug with a rather large (compared to the other wires there) green wire, One will be +12 and you can wire up the relay there. I've used it in my EFI setup as its running the main & lift pump.
