Part II So i obtained all the parts to match the carbs up except for the Emulsion tubes which i need to find a set of 7772.8 (2 0f). The jets are still 145 but i have a set of 130's on the way (which would have been here on friday if it wasn't for the postal strike) The idle jet screws are set to 3 and a half turns out and it has good idle progression but is running too rich but with very good top end. I can't wait for the new jets but a funny thing is that when i make a hrd right in the car and then stop the car it stalls every time. i figure that the float levels need to be reset but would be interested to hear from anyone who has had a similar problem. Also Sulio i have those butterfly washers for you if you want me to send them let me know or i can give them to you at the next meeting.

The fellow who i went and checked the V8 Z for is going to pick the car up on saturday. It has a wooden steering wheel but the guy said it came with an original as well. I would ask him. I'll get his ID and respond. : )

Round tops are SU type and the flat tops are Hitachi. If i were you i would keep the Triples and then buy a set of Round tops off Ebay as i have seen quite a few on there latley. I have a set of SU round tops that i was going to donate to the Drag car project if it went through.

And just thought i would let you know that the petrol money went through no worries.

At the end of the throttle shaft is a stop which is a washer with a little tab sticking out and a locking tab washer bent over the nut. These can be set so it seems that the throttle will not close anymore but are still open a few degrees which is all it takes. Try loosening them as i had the same problem.

Yea the things you do when you drink half a slab (or more) i just loaded up the second half of that vid(Test drive). Plenty of shots of the dash You r right about the interior but even got a decent stereo with an amp and 6X9's.

The modification involved drilling Slightly larger holes in drive plates to increase oil flow. The way it kicks into second gear is just Awesome.

I like the N42 head they got the bigger valves. i'd say cruise to ash's place and check out the difference.

What sort of time frame are you looking at? There should be a few guys down that way but i won't be in Melbourne for a couple of weeks yet (i have a house to paint down there) but see how you go
