  1. LOL, It's like those Korean drama series where theres always a shocking revelation every minute. e.g. for those that want to know more about wacky korean drama story lines. http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=FBB111F2BCA4125B Just keeps getting better.
  2. JESUS LORD!!! Legen wait for it DARY!
  3. You forgot to mention OS giken twin plate clutch which is valued at over $2000 brand new. Assuming no one bids on it and you win it for 200 000 Yen... according to import monsters including shipping it comes to a value of $4450.22 Go locky GO! muhahahhahahaha But yea, as Dimitri stated its for a Skyline. Can get the oil plug changed for more $$$ then you need custom intercooler piping, intercooler and exhaust to be customised which is more $$$. That's also assuming your gearbox and diff can handle it too, which is more $$$ and then upgrading braking system to compensate might as well do the suspensions as well and engineering which is even more $$$. Then after all that's done you call up insurance and you tell them "carby turbo" "sorry did you say carby turbo" *click* "beep beep beep beep" Hehehehe its good to dream.
  4. Devil Z anyone? I stumbled across this beauty on my weekly rounds. http://page11.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n75847344
  5. I had my EVO and my friends STI done there after we returned from Sydney. Really friendly bunch. Another place you should check out is a "All Makes" down on Parsons Street Flemington (a few blocks down from Tyrepower North Melbourne). There's a senior fella there who really knows a lot about suspensions. They are currently restoring a nice Ford Coupe and they've done the custom coilovers(sleeve type) for it too. I had my previous Type R done there a few years back and my daily Corolla Levin. Amazing job. Request for the old chap, I've forgotten his name. Damn if only I still had my documents for the Type R.
  6. LOL I'm just stirring stuff in your jdmst ride thread. Glad to see you've got the zed bug. Now it's time to surrender you blood, sweat and tears into this zed.
  7. This is such a marketing scheme. So sad they aren't going to mass produce it.
  8. I hope your touching wood. I meant worse case scenario you can purchase a lot of your items from blackdragonauto if you want a brand new interior look.

    Need a Screw?

coventry fasteners or bolt vendors like those. Your best bet and best alternatives would be there. Bunnings would blow a hole in your wallet plus another hole in the money tree. *edit* coventry fasteners are for common bolts, nuts and washers. You'll understand when you get there... think of a library but for bolts, nuts and washers.
  10. I knew you'd end up here Locky.
  11. Wheres the emoticon for nosebleed?
  12. I was just thinking this the other day. Had a meet with another group of guys and a few mx5s' were there. Started giving me ideas on how similar they were to 240z seats.
  13. Gav have you been manipulating the page rank again? Nice knowing we are getting lots of hits. I noticed we had heaps of hits. My project page has had over 11000 views which is crazy. Before anyone makes the assumption - no its not me doing refresh on my own project page.

    WTB - 240Z parts

Hi, Some advice for you as I did this about 12 months back for my project 240z. It's worth looking overseas for some parts. You might find some really good deals. Even though I bought a lot of the parts when the $AUD was pretty high. Some of the places here in Australia especially the wreckers were charging pretty much the same price for a used part. Small things like stoppers and switches and nick-nacks can be found overseas as NOS and are quite cheap. Especially the rubber kit, I bought my kit for about $250 from the US when Aussie suppliers were selling the same kit for over $800 (Once again have to take into account the $AUD). I remember I sourced a lot of my parts from eBay, with direct contact with some sellers and getting them to source it for me. Ebay username "Stockcuz" and "reddat" are among my most nick-nack suppliers. I made a mistake buying a few parts from Aussie wreckers when i first started my project. Then discovered eBay is a wonderful networking tool. Harder to source products can be sourced here via wreckers as prices are quite similar. E.g. if you have a busted light control assembly.
  15. God damn there goes another one. Have fun, Enjoy! Product maintained south of the border.
  16. OMG! i was just about to message you for the whole thing.
  17. They won't be installing the engine. They will have it ready and delivered to the restorers where my car is. The restorer will install it. We will be using my 240z twin su carbs to get it running until I can get the carbs ready.
  18. Nope they won't be touching the carbs. Only the engine. I will be doing the carbs.
  19. Just got off the phone with the engine builder. His asking for $4300. They will be porting the heads. Supplying new valves, HD springs, guides. Port-matching inlets and outlets. Pistons, Chain kit, 72 degree Cam. Boring the engine to +3mm and 89mm flat top pistons. Balancing the engine. Installing everything back together with the water pump, harmonic balancer, thermostat and gasket kit in which I'm supplying. Is this price excessive? Your opinions is most appreciated.
  20. Can, i ask how much it set you guys back? for reference purposes? Mine are in okay condition, i think i'll try rejuvenating it with some baby oil.
  21. WOW lifter in your garage. That's some hardware. Yes, better fill in your location before Lurch catches you.
  22. Some goodies arrived today. Time to start my weber rebuild. Also due to the recent change in my engine specification. My weber jets will probably go to waste. I'll be using them for the time being until I can get the another set of jets, which will work with my setup. It will probably be really lean until I get the right jets. But essentially I think we can start setting up a weber pool similar to the dellorto pool. 6 x 140 main 6 x 135 main 6 x 145 main 6 x 165 air 6 x 180 air 6 x 195 air 6 x 50f9 idle 6 x 45f9 idle 6 x 40 accelerator pump jet 3 x 40 accelerator bleed jet The above setup should be ideal for anyone with a stock L28 with a slightly upgraded cam and a bit of header work. I will add more as i currently have a set of jets still in the webers which i don't have a clue on what they are.
  23. I just got off the phone with the fellas at stewart wilkins and they are selling a harmonic balancer for about $480. I think its worth it if it prevents crank failure and potential further engine failure.
  24. I just tried the engine program myself. Previously tried but had no clue in how to use it. But after learning about engines recently its become quite easy to use. If we use the E30 head I think the compression would be too high. About 10.7-11? assuming its similar to the E31 head. Premium fuel and still problematic not to mention lumpy to drive? I don't want to push my luck to be honest. Thanks for the input guys, very much appreciated. At least I have some clue now to what the specifications are within an engine. My prior knowledge was fuel + air + spark = bang. LOL Basic diagnoses skills. *EDIT* I've told the engine builder 7000 RPMs max with 6500 RPMs where I want the redline to be so he can balance the engine accordingly . I'm getting the flywheel balanced with it. I bought a head gasket from zshop so i should get it measured as well as I recently found out it changes compression ratio.

    432R OEM Colours

How about something more luxurious? like this? It's called the Histrix It's made by Bride and would cost about 1500USD to get 1 and that is not including shipping.
