  9. hey pauly havnt you got a holley on her still ? if so theres a fair chance you got crud stuck in the needle and seat . give it a cupla light taps on the retaining screw on the front of the bowl with the handle of a screwdriver, if that doesnt clear it up take the needle and seat out and blow it out . just make sure when you put it back in its the right hieght , just letting fuel dribble out the site plug on the side of the bowl and you should be on a winner hopefully ! holleys are prone to this drama, maybe wack a new fuel filter on too.
  10. ive got those dba cross drilled /slotted rotors all round on my r31 and they suck ! already got lil stress fractures starting from the holes to the outer edge after 6 months so their going in the bin ! and i have been trying not not give them a hard time but i just put a modified rb30et in and they gota go real soon !

  13. re: alloy wheel polishing - try hitting them with paint stripper (to get rid of any clearcoat) if there is any. give them a water blast then and get hold of some 800,1200,2000 grit wet and dry spend an hour or so on each wheel , then do the polishing like toecutter and zzz8 said and youl fall over backwards !

  17. yep i agree with lurch and gonzo .......stikaflex is the go , a good mate owns a massive panel shop and he uses it and also i have used it for years to ! its the goods !!!

  23. yep sandblasting is illegal nowdays due to radiation or some s%$t .....so the go is to use a different media like garnet, illminite, copper slag (the missus recons it sounds like a movie about a dirty police wife!!!!!) etc sorry had to say that !

  25. when you do the adjustments on each cylinders intake and exhaust rockers make sure its on tdc so both valves are fully closed (easiest way is to turn the engine till the opposite cylinders rockers rock between the exhaust closing and the intake opening then you know your on tdc for that cylinder ), check and set the gap then move to the next one. the opposite cylinders are 1-6,5-2,3-4 i hope this is understandable , and helps you mate ! someone else may have an easier way to do it ,this is just the way ive done it for years . cheers chris.
