  1. i likey, dont give me bad ideas guys it wount be long now and i will be starting the body on the 300zx, im currently doing a 280zx that was going to the crusher. im half way there almost. then the fun will begin.
  2. if only i got on here earlier i could have saved you a tow, i had the same issue and it was the breather from the tank the one that goes to the carbon canister, blow it out with compressed air (open the fuel cap first) then blow compressed air through your return, it should fix the problem.

  4. the custom plenum helps but it is the heads that are the issues, its much more cost effective to just bolt a z32 vg in which makes power very easy.
  5. yeh i have seen this done but no one has decent dyno sheets to prove the power, if i was chasing power i would be putting the 400rwkw vg30dett engine i have in it but i dont need masive power its just not practicle for a street car.

  8. it is definatly a vg30et as i have nissan fast, how the car got here is anyones guess but it was regoed in nsw with a 10 digit vin. it also had electronic adjustable suspension in it but appears that it has been removed im looking forward to the morning as i will have a better idea of where to go as im going to jack it up and see what i have to work with. as for the hatch the guy i purchased it off is going to chase it up as well as the dash cluster for me so hopefully he finds it.

  10. i love projects but this 300zx has very little rust, so im considering fixing it im going to be dropping the oil out tomorrow as it is not looking good aparently it had a blown head gasket but i will not be doing a compression test until the oil is changed. i will keep you all posted on the progress. so now my car collection in total has, 260z 2+2, 280zx 2+2 hard top, z31 300zx 2 seater hard top turbo, z32 targa 2+2 turbo, alfa alfetta gtv gt, mini clubman 1100 s, and a 91 camry
  11. in the end it will come down too $$$ if i restore which i want to or on sell, but it will not go cheap as it has a nice and shiny r200 lsd sitting in the back of her . i had a look through her and she is definatly a jap import it had in cabin adjustable suspension now has shocks. it has a bit of rust underneith but has none in any pannels non in dogles, roof etc so the job for tomorrow will be to move it jack it up inspect undercarrage, then strip the interior. and i also found the missing key thankfully. i will keep you all posted on the progress cheers pauly

  13. originaly i was going to wreck it but i though i was buying a 2+2, the guy who i got it off was saying it was a 2 seater but i just looked at him funny. i will now be fixing it as it has stuff all rust and no bog from what i can find, considering it has been in the weather for 6 years its in awsome condition. the interior is almost a write off but it may clean up just yet. it has all sorts of stange stuff in it like sensors going to the struts cruse control and it is also 5 stud but is a 11/83 model so it should be 4 stud. ayway here are some pics. if anyone knows someone with a hatch let me know please. http://s1260.photobucket.com/albums/ii571/pauly_adams/ cheers pauly
  14. hey guys. i purchased a z31 the other day for the wiring loom and gbox as i was considering doing a turbo conversion with a 4 speed box. long storey short it is a 2 seater hard top its 11/83 model and is turbo. the problem is apparently they dont exist in aus. i was going to part it out cause i thought i was buying a 2+2 but i was wrong now im considering fixing it but i cant track down a rear hatch. has anyone ever seen on in aus, did they ever get released here. and it has a vg30et in it also. cheers pauly

  17. hey guys like in my other post after a terrible night in the cold im getting rind of most of my z cars and parts to buy a new car. 1989 300zx twin turbo 2+2, it needs work but is generaly in good condition, it has under 150k km legit (clock not turned back), interior is in good condition apart from sterio facia and a small crack in the dash. paint is ok for age no clear coming off like most of them. work needed new shocks put in i will supply a good set, turbo seal needs fixing on passanger side turbo, valve in auto gbox needs fixing i have one coming so i can also supply this. the car has been quite troble free and boost fine, it leaves V8's behind in most cases it just needs a bit more tidying up. pics and more info can be found in this link. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,11150.0.html im after $4000 with rego and all engineers reports etc, or $3700 unreg second my 280zx. 1981 280zx 2+2, it is blue has almost emaculate interior, it is an auto,then engine was rebuild 30k km ago, gbox rebuilt 30k ago, has aftermarket suspension, 80L fuel tank and drives realy well. it has about 450k km on the dash but is relitivly rust fee. some in the drivers door the rest of the car seems strait. the paint is ok but far from show quality previous owner done a backyard job and it shows as there are runs and some paint flaking. all in all the car is mechenicaly realy good nearly everthing is brand new including a high flow fuel pump. i will not part with it for less the $3500 unreg or $4200 reg as i have not seen any in this conditon. if you want any pics or more info please send me a pm or call on 0423679877 cheers pauly
  18. hey all, 240z carbs where in good working order when removed but may need a clean and re kit (includes manifold balance pipe but is missing throttle setup as i used it on a set of carbs given to me a fellow member) $250 ono now $150 cheers pauly
