  1. Damn pete that's looking sexy! I'll have to come around and check it out
  2. Nice beefy compressor you've got there How's the painting going?
  3. Yeah I think this might even get more newer members to donate, especially when the bar is really low. It really hits home the constant ongoing costs of the website.
  4. PM Sent, I'll be going and the old man is coming to.
  5. About that quickly apparently
  6. Excellent I just chipped in $10 (USD apparently) Now I'll see how quickly it updates
  7. Depending on timing I might fly down from Brisbane, I've never been to Melbourne so I reckon this could be a good excuse
  8. http://www.uniquecarsales.com.au/pls/carsales/!unique_content.enquiry?current_rec=3&page_number=1&vehicle_id=8603819&total_rec=23&sort_type=2&keywords=260z&photo_flag=1 Lol I was picturing a small, fragile, 80year old woman cutting out rust with her sunday dress and rollers in her hair
  9. PPS don't feel bad bryan, everyone learns the hard way. But just assume that everything you are thinking of has been done before, because generally, it has. These cars have been around for 40 years. I think lurch was going through puberty when they first came out
  10. Hence my recommendation to search using google instead. http://www.google.com.au/search?q=mig+welder+site%3Awww.viczcar.com&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a PS (lurch excluded in this case) but I think if we know there is an answer on the site for something, direct them to it with a link. Otherwsie when you do want to search for something, you just get a heap of threads saying "Search" like over at www.zcar.com and you have to go through pages of sh!t to find anything decent. It hasn't really been a problem hear but as we get more and mroe members we obviosly get more and more posts. If we can get on it early we might be able to make the site easier to navigate. As always, jsut my 2 cents...
  11. It might possibly due to this 5 page thread over here: http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,5327.0.html It does get asked a lot and tends to cause dramas... The search function on the site is a bit temperamental. I suggest going to google or yahoo and typing "whatever you want" site:www.viczcar.com when searching. Will come up with better results. Ie: mig welder site:www.viczcar.com
  12. So you've got the new engine in I take it? I'll have to come out and watch an event one day...
  13. Hey mate any updates? You should be on the road by now I would imagine
  14. Just a technicality but "knock off" sounds a bit dodgy, the designs were actually licensed from SU. Parts are generally not interchangeable between British and Japanese though. Might also be worth mentioning the differences in round tops as well, generally categorised as 3 or 4 screw (counting the screws holding down the "dome" lid) More info here: http://www.ztherapy.com/technical_stuff/spotterguides/zcar/240spotter.htm
  15. Hey mate at least I'm keeping my genes to myself not spreading them like some Scando, stop objectifying my car, this isn't the sixties
  16. Oh wow haha. I might have been going to or from Paddington, op shopping for 1920's and 1970's clothes I wasn't picking my nose was I?
  17. Nice work Lurch, like others have said, I think it has gone to the right person. Enjoy her
  18. Couldn't see much in photoshop. I would say G but yeah, could also be C.
  19. I think the grill and taillight surrounds should be matte/satin like the original. The book How to Restore Your Datsun or whatever it is tells you how to mix the paint and someone on here recently posted a link to a Hybridz or classiczcar thread with more info. I find the glossy taillights look a little cheap IMHO. And generally I think the front spoiler should be the same colour as the body as well, black does work on some cars so yeah some pics might help
  20. Looks like you showed that pedal who's boss Greg
  21. Doesn't look that bad in that photo. It's a bit worse than it appears, but definitely not the worse thing that could have happened.
  22. Haha sorry guys, truth is that I am incredibly lazy Anyway someone else has taken a photo of my car, you can see ze damage attached
  23. Yes thanks for coming Greg and Steve. It was a very nice day, a very nice send off for a good bloke.
  24. Steve, I'll aim to get to your place around 8ish in the morning
