  1. I'll be in the Gold Coast for the weekend of the 25th so I can either make a late Sunday drive or if you guys want to drive to Goldy I could catch up there, quick drive then head back to Brisbane? Also want to do another gokart day in the near future. Was heaps of fun last time but need a few more z guys besides myself and Greg
  2. Yep looking good Greg, all that rust work was worth it Only just saw that you uploaded videos in that bathurst thread. It's not too bad, you can still see a fair bit. I'll have to watch em all the way through. Let me know when you want to do a photoshoot...
  3. Ok so I missed out on my donation for March but I have just donated $10 for April. If you've got a few spare bucks get donating now
  4. Hey mate, I'll let other people post info about the specific sizes you have mentioned but I borowed Steve's 17 x 7.5 Rota RB and it looked like this on my 2+2: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php?/topic/58528-wheel-show-post-your-pics-of-you-wheels/page__st__1100?s=fc8ef53a14a082ea455edf87e748f0bf I thought this was stock ride height but I actually lowered it roughly an inch in photoshop....
  5. Not sure about the different years, but there is a rubber seal that is meant to go around the fuel tank vent hose (infront of the right hand side tailight). Mine was perished and I suspect there are some fumes coming in there. Other than that I would say Lynton has most of it covered, oh and check that any unused holes from teh firewall to the engine bay are plugged to stop any fumes from the engine bay coming in that way.
  6. Ok so dougybe is selling his very nice 240z http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,6764.msg61795/topicseen.html#msg61795 If it hasn't gone by the 18th of April he might come for a first and last run with us. There's talk of driving through Brisbane Forrest, I'm guessing this is the D'Aguilar Range. I've got a party the night before so maybe a lunchtime/afternoon run? Who is interested?
  7. Brisbane forest sounds great. I'll start organising over in the Brisbane Meet thread. Good luck with the sale
  8. Yeah I hope this is a GOOD thing, not something necessary for unfortunate reasons. I did think about it but didn't want to bring the tone down. That said I hope everything is alright in Lurch world. If you need a hand with anything I'm sure more than a few of us would be willing to help.
  9. Loch is quite similar to Lurch... conspiracy? The differing letters are U, R and O. Rearrange that and you have OUR. I think this is leading somewhere...
  10. Ah we didn't even get to go for a drive. I just gave my car a good wash a polish. Want to go for a quick drive one weekend? Sorry to see it go, make sure a Brissy lad buys it
  11. I believe the Spanish spelling is "dudn't". I too was wondering what Lurchos was up to. I figured it must have been something big
  12. Eddii, from memory, bought his z as a 240z but he thinks it is a 2 seater 260z that someone has tried to do up to look like a 240z. Anyway he bought those 240z door trims from Nissan as well and he said the door locks come up in a different spot. Not a huge deal but you would have to relocate the hole or lock...
  13. Does your "new" engine mean a brand new rebuild or just a new motor from another car? If it wasn't rebuilt, what are you piston rings and valve stem seals like? Does your car blow any smoke? +1 on waiting for the webbers, i reckon it might just be a running rich thing as well
  14. Hey mate I can probably pick them up and post them if the seller won't post. Although, has the auciton ended? I couldn't find them on ebay. If anyone ever needs parts picked up in Brisbane I don't mind doing it.
  15. Haha Steve-o you tard. In the city buying a new handbag were you? It didn't even click for me, I'm like hmmm I know that license plate but the 240 bit threw me. Didn't really read the 260 bit.
  16. Yeah Lynton, the split windows are the ones I like too. I also like them all kitted up as a race car, I love the styles from back then. Yeah no z31 but I don't really like the style and Dad has the '300zx' so I figure we have it covered haha. Maybe if I found a genuine low mile one... Hahaha Greg, do it! Could buy Waxy's body and use that Haha yeah I'll get pics next time I'm home, I normally take my camera with me but this time I only had carry on luggage and figured I wouldn't need it :S Gonna get a nice family shot with my 240z too
  17. I keep collecting until I own all the Z's in the world haha. Ok so the 74 is my daily drive, full of rust. Everything in that is getting transplanted into the new 76 shell I got. I will strip the 74 and keep everything usable and then will either sell/donate or dump the shell. The 77 project car is/has been a long term project. Hoping to have the money next year to get it painted. This car will pretty much be completely new, with every bolt etc replaced. Once this car is done I will probably sell my 74/76 daily driver. The 77 parts car is too far gone to salvage anything from the body. Next time I'm home I will strip this completely and dump the shell. After that I want one more 2 seater and then I'm on to an early to mid 60's corvette and a 60's mustang. Now all I need is to win the lotto
  18. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh so I went home for the weekend and Dad had a little surprise. He bought an Ultra Yellow 35th Anniversary 350z with 4000klms on it. Damn nice car, it's a shame I didn't take my camera home. All we need now is a 280zx and a 370 and we've got the set haha
  19. Well I would think that is because we don't know who has PM'd you? I would take the seats...
  20. The cv talk is in relation to my original plan. There is another guy on Hybrid who has adapted the subi cv's to fit in the rear of a z. These other 'adapters' from JohnC weren't available at the time. I still plan on doing the cv's in my 240z and using the adapters in my 2+ 2 eventually. For the meantime, it will be going into my 240. Also remember that a relatively 'bolt in' r200 lsd goes for around $1000. Sure you can get lucky and get one cheaper but it's not that common. I paid $300 for the subi lsd + $605 for the adapters so for $905 I've got a lsd that's lighter than the r200 (I assume) and only 9 years old max.
  21. Hey mate, decided I won't take it. Not enough work space. Good luck with the sale. Let me know if you end up parting it out. Cheers Shaun
  22. Hey mate I might be interested. I'll send you a pm
  23. Someone get this man a Z so he can restore it to a similar "acceptable level". Nice ride, good luck with the search.
  24. 3.3 litres Who's doing your new work if you don't mind me asking, I take it they're local? I was originally going to do everything that I could myself, but now I'm thinking I might jsut get Stewart Wilkins to build me one. We'll see.
  25. Can I be your mate in QLD? Haha looking good as always Rev. Very nice colour choice.
