  1. So my housemates girlfriend was hired to do this "ad" for a competition toyota were running. Basically you had to submit a "short film" and the winner gets some money and their firm is possibly considered to make the real ad. So turns out their ad won, and caused some controversy.... http://www.news.com.au/business/toyota-puts-brakes-on-abuser-generated-ad/story-e6frfm1i-1225810251148
  2. Another one <a href="http://www.shaun-maluga.com/Images/Z/MtMee/_MG_1306cropped.jpg"><img src="http://www.shaun-maluga.com/Images/Z/MtMee/_MG_1306cropped_small.jpg"></a>
  3. Here's one pic from the drive. I'll upload the rest in the next few days... <a href="http://www.shaun-maluga.com/Images/Z/MtMee/_MG_1320V1.jpg"><img src="http://www.shaun-maluga.com/Images/Z/MtMee/_MG_1320V1_Small.jpg"></a>
  4. Damn! Looking good Brad. Happy? I still think you should go for white light, but that's just me It does look nicely lit. How'd the blinkers go?
  5. Looking very pretty out on the strip Britney How'd you go? Any faster?
  6. Here's another type to put in just for referance. Might be able to msg the seller and see if you can get any more info about it. It looks a little bit like "Shane in Sales" spoiler but without the stuff on top. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300376661757&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:AU:1123
  7. Nice buy, I was tempted by this one. Well I'm tempted by every z I see for sale but maybe this one a little more than the others
  8. Haha that's actually why I was looking for one, to go with his set :S
  9. It's a long shot but I'm just looking for 1 fuel bowl for the 3 screw, 240z, round top su's. If you have one random carb lying around let me know.... Cheers Shaun
  10. OK in the other thread Greg and I mentioned a quick drive beforehand. Raise your hand if you are keen for the drive as we will have to work out times and locations etc. IF we go for a drive we would probably look at arriving back at Steve's around 1ish? Greg mentioned going to redcliffe, thoughts? I'll be leaving from St Lucia in the morning, Greg will be leaving from the Strathpine area.
  11. Version 3 off to the printer tomorrow. I'll see if I can get those matte tests done as well.
  12. Looking good brad. Few more tweeks and we'll get there The good thing is that doing this made me get off my arse and digitalise the tacho, so when I get a bit cashed up I'll run some tests on aluminium as a "replica stock" replacement. Ie would look original to pretty much everyone but if you had a keen eye at a concourse show, it wouldn't be ideal. Not sure how viable this idea is though as aluminium is quite expensive. I'll obvisouly post some pics whenever I get around to doing the tests. Ps don't be hating the sushi
  13. Welcome, make sure you post some pics Where abouts in Brisbane are you? You should come along to our xmas party: http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,6089.15.html As with all our events, a running Z is not required, just good to have a chat and look at some nice cars. There's a good bunch of blokes, except for Steve, there's something not right with him...
  14. Hmmm steve-o, me thinks we might need some seating. I have 3 milk crates
  15. Oh also, I'm sure you would know this, but make sure your scanner is as clean as you can get it. 5 minutes cleaning the scanner properly is easier than 5 hours removing dust and hairs in photoshop...
  16. Hey mate, nice scans. If you are wanting a hi res pic for a poster i would recommend 'maxing out the resolution'. What scanner are you using? If you want a proper job, ie if you were getting paid a large sum of money to do it, you could take it to a lab to get scanned (not any photolab, there are a select few companies who have the right equipment to do this, pm if you want to do this and I'll let you know where you can take it). Depending on where you take it it could cost between $35 and $200. For what you want, I would just scan it with the max settings. What size do they want it printed? If you send the file to me I can clean it up in photoshop (although I do like the authenticity of hairs and specs in the scans ) and adjust colour etc. I'll do this for 1 or 2 scans if you want but anymore than that and I'll have to charge. I spend enough time infront of photoshop as it is
  17. It's going to be good to see a few new faces I'll bring the paper bag for Steve's....
  18. I second this. My daily driver does the same thing. Just have to turn the key and hold it slightly past the on position to let it kick over. Haven't bothered finding the cause of it because it's an easy lazy fix, just don't turn all the way
  19. Peter, I like your second action shot. It looks like you are trying to catch the car and weld it while it's spinning around Apparently my dad has been busy and finished off my rotisserie. Apparently it works a treat. It's bloody solid, i reckon we could nearly get a complete car up on it haha. Beter safe then sorry I guess
  20. I saw this post over at hybridz, thought it was quite interesting: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=156693 TonyD posts about this company doing SU throttle body injection adapters (http://www.pattonmachine.com/ConversionBenefits.htm). I'm not planning on doing this at all, just wanted to hear some discussion from people about this. It seems like it's aimed at people who want to be able to revert back to the original system easily. If you weren't worried about this backwards compatibility, would you just go with the 280zx efi or the next step, itb's?
  21. There are some here... http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,4195.0.html (scroll down for links to the tiff and pdf files) Not sure what car you need them for, 240z, 260z, 2+2? Edit: Hmmm from the cars in your signature I would assume 240 then
  22. Sounds good. I'll send you the list of qld members when I get home from work
  23. You just want to go to Woody Point don't you Greg Sounds good. So now we just need some attendees. Come on Qlders, this can be our end of year break up...
  24. I'm in too. I think bringing own meat drinks is a good idea, like last time. Otherwise you have to try and organise numbers etc. Who wants to do a quick drive beforehand? Maybe we could go for a drive around lunchtime and then bbq in the arve?
  25. Ahh scary. I had done the same with my daily driver on ramps. I had it up on the ramps but the space where the wheel rests was too big. So i was reving it trying to get it over the ramp and ended up shooting both large ramps out behind me. Luckily, 10 minutes before that, a housemate needed to move their car so I had to move my yellow car which was originally directly behind the ramps :S
