  1. now that actually looks pretty nice
  2. due to the prespective you don't get the "recessed" look around the trim...
  3. I would leave him in, he still supplies parts fine etc, just wanted to warn people about it is all
  4. Good list, I noticed redat from eBay US is in their. He sells a lot of parts but he charges "handling" fees nit just postage. I haven't checked recently but when i bought stuff a few years ago the part cost $3 to post and he charged me $30 US. And that was when the dollar was at about 0.60 not like it is today. He may have changed his practices but i think if you are charging a "handling" fee on eBay it should be clearly stated.
  5. Nice photos! Luckily someone got some pics at the start, I was too preoccupied Thanks everyone for a great day! And we have $70 to donate towards the site too!! Jk_zeder, I was pretty clsoe to swapping seats with you for the 240z it was so bloody hot
  6. I call dibs on the model!!!
  7. Thanks Dave, it will be good to have the 2 Z worlds collide!
  8. We are working on a contingency plan if it happens to be raining on Sunday. I'm sure if it is only light we will continue on for the drive (optional for some of the more precious of us) but if it is heavy perhaps we will just meet for the BBQ, perhaps a little earlier? I'll pm everyone with my phone number so I can send out a MSG with details on the day if things change. I'll let Peter respond about the undercover space at his place
  9. Good to see the car is getting some good use and that it has stayed in the family too! I didn't know Warren but I'm sure he would be proud. Thanks for the update
  10. PM sent and list updated
  11. bump - lust chance before going on fleebay
  12. The list of attendees? At the bottom of the first post
  13. Matty260z, Stevofoxono & Wayne G, let me know if you have trouble transferring. It bounced back for bullzed but worked for the others in the list and I was always copying and pasting the details
  14. Wow that was quick? Reeeeeallly no more rust? Or no more rust that Mr inspector can see? And yes the heatshield is just from ol Sueprcheap. When I rebuilt the carbies I noticed the fuel bowls were really hot so it was the quickest fix Are you bringing this to the xmas party? Or does that depend on the P's? Good choice with the black interior too, that was the next job on my list...
  15. Excellent I have updated the first post with the attending list. If you have transferred any moolah and I haven't got you down as paid please let me know!

  20. Yay my 1000th post, and it's actually for something useful Just thought I would post the official stuff here for the QLD Christmas party. Please post any relevant quesitons here. If you would like to have any off topic discussions and chat to any other members that might be coming please post here: http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,10068.msg101251.html#msg101251 Sunday 11th December 8:00am Starting at Fitzy's Carpark in Loganholme, heading to Mt Tamborine, then on to see the Datsun that holds the land speed record for its class (139.919mph or near enough in F/GT class I am told) and back to Peter T's for a BBQ and drinks around lunch time. If you can't make the drive but want to join us for the BBQ then feel free, just let us know. Peter has kindly offered up his place for lunch and will be supplying meats, salads, tea & coffee. Anything else is BYO and so that Peter is not out of pocket on this we are asking $10 to cover costs (anything left over will be donated to the site). Here is a rough map of the drive without the exact addresses. I'll send you a link to the map once you have transferred the money. Sorry for the 'officialness' but it will allow us to know fairly accurate numbers and allow Peter to cater for the day. <a href="http://maps.google.com.au/maps?saddr=Fitzy%E2%80%99s+Tavern+Loganholme&daddr=Tamborine-Oxenford+Road,+Oxenford,+Queensland+to:Mount+Tamborine,+Queensland+to:Canungra,+Queensland+to:Beaudesert,+Queensland+to:Cedar+Vale,+Queensland+to:Loganholme,+Queensland&hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=-27.764975,153.356781&spn=0.508552,0.891953&sll=-27.744923,153.29155&sspn=0.508646,0.891953&geocode=FT7lWf4dX0AhCSEYLLGfHF1xJA%3BFX1vVv4dXjsjCSld7PJK9xaRazE6WlWJCQ4KwA%3BFdIsVf4dD5whCSl7O6WXgSKRazHgpt7zWqMCBQ%3BFWd9VP4dWBshCSkN6jF8FyGRazFAod7zWqMCBQ%3BFZ7xVP4dV4YeCSkzZc3ttCiRazHAf97zWqMCBQ%3BFV16Vv4dAQYfCSkdAD3qCTCRazEAhN7zWqMCBQ%3BFSTlWf4dDkYhCSknG45_5kGRazHgjt7zWqMCBQ&vpsrc=6&mra=ls&t=m&z=11">Xmas Drive Map</a> Please PM me to let me know that you are coming and for bank details for money transfer. 21. Good to hear you can make it Greg I didn't know you had damaged the car, I take it that's the 240? I'll bring the badge and ecu unless I see you before then Hi Dave, I know what you mean about the insurance issue. It has even been raised here before however I think there is a way around it for us forum members. That said, I should emphasise to everyone that is coming that any reckless driving is not tolerated. All speed limits are adhered to and we don't want the attention from the police. It hasn't been an issue in the past but with new members coming along you never know what to expect. If you want to hoon join a commodore forum or something But enough negativity... Just finalising the details with Aubrey and Peter and hopefully I will have the details tomorrow so we can start getting numbers etc. Dave, I have been meaning all year to write up a very simple introduction to the site for some of your less technically able members but I have been incredibly busy this year. I promise I will do it over the Christmas break.
  22. Hi Guys, Be-zed and Peter t have nutted out the details, I'll update with more details and maps etc and send out a group message to Queensland members to try and get the numbers up. Please let us know if you can make it so we know how many to expect. If you know any Queensland guys feel free to point them in the direction of this thread. Sunday 11/12/11 The cruise will start at Fitzy's Loganholm car park around 8.30 am travel down the M1 turn off and go to Mt Tambourine. Stop for pics if people want to 1/2 hour. Down through Beaudesert and up to Cedar Creek for Steve's cars (1 hour) Then back to Peter's place by 12.00 noon. $10 per head to cover some costs. I will update you with RSVP and Payment details soon. Sorry a bit flat out at work atm! If you can't make the drive then feel free to meet us at Peter's for lunch.
  23. Hey mate, I'll take them. Are you coming to the Christmas party?
  24. Looks like a bargain at $2500!
  25. From looking at the photos I would say you are about on the money assuming the interior is quite tidy too. Perhaps throw up some shots of the inside. I personally would say about $7000-$8000? The problem is that in this price range you could pay a little bit more and get a car with "no" rust or a fair bit less and assume that you can pay to get a respray (although this costs more $$$ than people realise but you do get to chose colour and style etc). Up to $5000 most people can sort of find that money if you know what I mean. $10000 people are looking at loans etc so they are wanting to get something that is specifically what they are after. So you are really just going to have to play the waiting game to find the right buyer. It might take a year but they should come along Good Luck
