  1. Just spotted these on ebay, not a bad price either. I'm 99% sure these are the Hilux direct bolt on brakes. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Datsun-Nissan-Brake-upgrade-4spot-240z-260z-1600-280zx_W0QQitemZ270004517364QQihZ017QQcategoryZ102336QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Scott

  3. Just spotted these on ebay, not a bad price either. I'm 95% sure these are the Hilux direct bolt on brakes. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Datsun-Nissan-Brake-upgrade-4spot-240z-260z-1600-280zx_W0QQitemZ270004517364QQihZ017QQcategoryZ102336QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Scott
  4. I'm running on braun, but I dont have much of anything else :? I just keep the car moving. Anyone know of easy power steering conversions? Big fan of this zed though. Scott
  5. At the moment i like the look of Sulio's Zed there. But that Black 260? looks hard. I'll stick to what I have though.
  6. Don't forget to upgrade your master cylinder with it though, when I first did it it was sloppy as and I was almost on the floor to get full brakes, but everyone I have talked to about it reckons the 280Zx master cylinder fixes it. I will have it in by end of next week, let you know how it goes.
  7. I will try my hardest to get my zed down from canberra, but the rain idea is a good one.
  8. im 90% sure it was on the drivers side, but the car is 600kms away and i havent seen it in a while, but my vehicle plate is in the front right of the engine bay.
  9. mine was on the drivers side firewall.
  10. Sounds pretty awsome. Unfortunately I haven't got anywhere near enough time to do conversions and im sure i will be happy with what i have for a number of years. Plus this is only my occassional f\throw around car, next year there will be an Evo 8 to get ready for racing, but then again I wont be stuck in the army then either. Can't wait
  11. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8072960026&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3AEOIBSA%3AAU%3A11 Maxima rear callipers and cross drilled rotors. (yeh i know i said i dont like crossdrilled, but I think the 260 has different rear spindels so I will probly have to get different ones anyway).
  12. My car isn't on the road atm so I only have 3rd party with NRMA, but I think there will only be a couple that will, being 22 and having a 200+rwkw (very soon) 28 year old car. I got a quote from Just cars, they want about $1300 a year and only insured for $9000 from memory, but im gonna keep looking.
  13. Well I took the plunge into the same rear disc setup we were discussing earlier, I gotta try and get the car ready for the Dutton and its gonna take 4-6 weeks to get here, so I'm out. I'll let you know how they go though.
  14. Don't you need to be over 65, the car untouched and have a shite load of money to go with Shannons? Sorry if anyone is offended but i know a lot of people with nice cars, and no one i talk to has a good thing to say about them. 'For car enthusiasts?'
  15. Thats an awsome price, I'm after 17s though, am thinkin of simmons ie. Fr18s or 90s, i already have some F90s but they are 17 X 8.5 and 9 so fitting them is a pain without coilovers. Lucky coilover kit is being fitted now. they are my competition rims, got toyo Ra1s 23517R45, i shoulda gone 215 on the fron though, too much over hang. Another lesson learnt.
  16. Mate ahhh, phat bro. They look the goods, how much, i want em
  17. You know its funny your timing here, im looking at sparco suede wheels and a mate just told me the exact same thing and am going to get a normal everyday wheel aswell. But cheers, i have it all covered now. Its great having a mate who works at Repco. Also just found this site: http://rallynuts.com/motorsport/default.asp These guys have nearly anything you could need for like a third of what you would pay in oz, but im about to find out how much shipping will cost. They even advertise in AUD. Cheers Scott
  18. I saw some Konig i think 15 X 7 inch rims going on ebay that had a similar sort of look, im not sure if they go bigger or where else though.
  19. Does anyone know of any boss kits and steering wheels for my Zed. They have deep dish boss kits on ebay, but i would rather a flat wheel. Cheers Scott
  20. Hey, just found these Hilux calipers on toymods, if anyone is interested. http://www.toymods.net/forums/showthread.php?t=6276 Could probly do with a rebuild i guess.
  21. Cheers Warren, the interior looks like sh!t on mine, so anything is better.

    Coilovers

ill let you know next week when i get my car back, the guy who is doing my car can get evrything needed, but i went to the states for mine (i shoulda taslked to him first. One problem we found, was that due to a lot of coilover kits being generic, I had to buy adjustable camber tops from T3 in the states to be able to use the generic top hat. Luckily I was going to do it anyway. Before that we were going to make custome top hats. I am pretty sure there are a couple of places in oz that sell suspension already set up, so that might be worth looking into depending on your budget. Anyone else got anything?
  23. Have you got any contact details for TruFit and how much for the insulation? Cheers Scott
  24. Hey guys, has anything gone further with the rear disk conversion? Still really keen, wanna try and get the car ready for the Dutton rally soon, would be great to be able to stop even better. I'm currently watching the NSW one up around Canberra and Sydney (friend racing in AE86), giving the Evos and Rexs a flogging on the hillclimbs and some on the motorkanas. Anyone else entering?
