  1. Ease up mate... It's his car... Thanks for posting up your experience, I'm jealous as!
  2. Like Dat2kman, I have some RA1's that are about 5 years old. Because they have always stayed in the garage either on the car, or on in the garage, they performed brilliantly at Wakefield for the Nats this year. I have heard concrete isnt good for them, anyone else heard that?
  3. I have them all round. Considering the machining, labour, etc involved, it would probably be similar in price to just buy the Arizona Zed Car ones. Unless of course, you are handy or know someone who is handy with that sort of thing. I wish they made that stuff when I did mine... The problem is, they are just a sleeve with a spring perch. Thats the easy bit, there is a lot of work involved making them actually fit.
  4. My '77 260Z has always done it, but with the installation of my front spoiler, it is minimal. I can drive long periods of time and not notice it until I smell my clothes later.
  5. We should nip these bad puns in the BUD!
  6. See I found e-go cheaper than Smartsend, but it all depends on where you are compared to their depot or drop off point etc.
  7. JB1419 is the 1" MC from memory
  8. The 15/16th 280ZX MC is plenty for your brakes mate.
  9. Looking good man, the RB26 should be a lot of fun!
  10. You know I couldn't make it... lol. What about this Friday night?
  11. Good work man. Shame the 200ZR mounts didnt work out, maybe the RB30 block mounts slightly more forward than the 25.
  12. Lol I thought that would have looked funny. We did think about wooden blocks haha
  13. Looking forward to your updates mate, I'm going through brake stuff at the moment and this looks right up my alley.
  14. Oh and Pete Mac for driving home after I had a few too many and my wife couldn't reach the peddals!! lol
  15. Firstly, thanks to Gordo for the perfect venue, Craig for his organising, Ash for the trophies and the raffle gear and my brother from another mother Lurchos and Janus for putting up with Jacquie and I for a few days. We had an awesome weekend, it was good to put some names to faces. The 7 1/2 hour drive each way was well worth it, and the car didn't brake down once!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111oneoneoneone
  16. Good stuff mate.
  17. Back to John Knight Park? Cool. Well that is our anniversary day and Jac and I are looking at what to do, so we might still come along, but I doubt it lol.
  18. Because it wasn't grinding, just scraping, it sounded a lot like brake pads. I've done most of the grinding needed now, just have to finish it and get the rotors machined.
  19. I can vouch for both of the above listed companies. I check them both for a quote before sending or receiving anything. Be aware that smartsend will probably cost a little more than the quote because they have other options, but it wont be much. The best result will depend on the location.
  20. Dude, to answer your PM, yes I'll help and I have access to my Father in Laws one, so I'll take it with me.
  21. Do they do a zed kit? What about AZC kits?
  22. Hey guys, Jac and I are heading down to Vic for the Vic Christmas Party at Gordon's place. Does anyone want to come along? Here is a link to the thread for the BBQ: http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,9702.msg99591.html#new I also think we should do a Canberra one, which I'll get try and come up with a date for, or throw in your ideas for. Cheers
  23. Ok, so I have discovered the problem and it's not what I thought it was at all. Basically the end of the lower control arm (LCA) is grinding on the rotor. I am also running roll centre adjusters from Techno Toy Tuning which I think made it worse. After contacting Dave about it (and having a go at me for not reading the instructions properly lol), I now have a lot of work ahead of me to fix this. First I will have to remove the calipers and hubs, then grind the end of the LCAs down, being sure I don't make the LCA too weak, but give enough clearance. Ill also have to remove the rotors from the hubs and have them machined to get rid of the grooves created by the LCA. I am pissed at myself for letting this happen, I think I assumed that there would be clearance.
  24. Pure gold, that made my day.
