You just need the sprint licence which is about $95. you need to have a fire extinguisher in your car and a good helmet. (double check the regs on that wesite) I wouldnt be running my RB powered car. probably my old road car. Ash

Sulio your about 5 yrs to late . used to pick up 40s for $100 each of the alfa wreakers but those days are long gone (I think) anyways they do need different jets etc to work on the zed but they were definatly a bargin Ash

come on craig dont you think sulio can trust me (now I really sound like a salesman) but yer you do have to be careful buying second hand (sepecially race motors). but my motor has a very good track record and I always have had my engine machining done properly and used new components for rebuilds etc. I also have acess to video scopes so I can show bore condition etc with disassembley. again though its not a great motor for a street car as its got big cams and its sutup to run at high revs (different pump pullys etc) If I sold it I would have to include the webbers as they are tuned for the motor etc Ash

I used vl engine mounts (with some cutting and moding) and just cut the gearbox mount and welded a section in (I will post some pics) Also for sump I brought a nissan patrol rb30 sump and pickup as its rear sump and just have to do a little mod as its a bit low! The cage will be in by next week so I will post some shots Ash

yer it wouldnt be worth it as you can get all the L seies bit here? Also I have an excellent L series I might be selling Ash

Hi Bruce What spec would you like? It has a works 74deg cam ported and dowled manifold/head 060 oversize flat top pistons lightend and dowled flywheel 4 puck brass button clutch with heavy duty pressure plate custom harmonic balancer adn undersize pully (which slows the revs on the altinator and water pump) zshop valve springs and lightened rockers block has been cleaned up on the inside castings baffled sump oil cooler electronic ignition thats all I can think of at the moment Ash

I bolted a set of triple 40m delautos on my std l26 motor some yrs ago and it makes a heap of difference from the su's! Ive said it before and I will say it again. If you have good quality linkages and the triples were set up properly (correct jets) and they have nice tight shafts then they dont go out of tune. in both my triple 45 webers and triple 40 delautos They were setup prperly to start with so the only maintance was checking the linkages. on the cost side I think you would be looking at from 1k for a set of triples and manifold. THen you would still need to make sure they are in good condition as alot of the sets I see on ebay look very rough. If I were selling my triple 45s seperate from the race car I would expect to get 1500-1800 for them. Thanks Ashley

Hi Bruce I will be selling it complete from harmonic ballancer to clutch. Including the triple 45mm webbers and manifold. so basically all you need to will need to do is bolt on your gearbox and extractors and your off! Its had a complete rebuild so it has new pistons, ring, bearings, vlaves and seals, timingchain kit all new gaskets. The clutch and pressure plate are also new. Probably would be looking in the 5k ono range for it? Ash

Ive been running the old chain with radiator hose around it setup in my race car for many years. Its really easy and still alows some give in the diff. That mount does look really nice though Ash
