Hi Guys thanks for all the replys As Craig said I am mirroring the typre of classes used by cams and the group 5 sprints. Keep the suggestions comming and I will list them down and maybe if we have a meeting ? cruise before christmas we can have a chat about them all and nail the rules/ classes down. OK Im about to go away for two weeks but thought I might throw out an idea for next year What if we have a 6-8 round Vic (interstate are welcome to do one to) Zcar championship for 2009 These rounds would be made up of various Hillclimb, sprints on the MSCC, GCC, PIARC, NDSOC car club calender (not our own specific events as this would be a bit trick to organise We could have say 3 different classes (dont want to get to complex. Twin carbie class Triple/ fuel inj. under 3ltr class Open class (slicks, turbo ,V8 etc) To be eligable for the first two classes you have to have reg or club reg and run road tyres. When the MSCC, NDSOC Cams calendar comes out maybe we can run a poll for which events you guys would like to make up the championship. I was thinking maybe one or two rounds at new morwell hillclimb track, Phillip Island, sandown etc Anyways the whole idea is to have some fun and get all our car together at the same events. Let me know if your interested and what you would like to run etc. Ash

Yes but they are a pain to ship as they are to big for aus post and requir heaps of packing and to be couriered so its just not worth my while sending them interstate sorry Ash

Hi Scando Dont think Lurch was having a go at you as I think what you said is spot on Not exactly sure who he is having a go at, I thought he was just generalizing as there are alot of people online(and offline) who think they know alot and have often never actually done any real work on cars Look forward to reading what Lurch posts as I think we can pool all our different experience together and sus most probs out Ash

hi steve I raced a very well handling zed for quite a few years (hopfully will race again) and as Lurch said there is alot of BS all over the place. I have alot of suspension/ handling books and have read pages of info but really to give you a correct and usefull piece of information on getting your car to stop understearing I would have to have a good look at the car. There are soo many things on an old zed (infact when the zed was new it apparently was a big understeerer:)) cause it to understeer. Hey for all I know it could be your right foots prob Really though I thing Craig (or Lurch) would probably be able to give you the best advise because he has a v8 zed and does a bit of track work aswell. My car always had super sticky wide tyres and not that much power so it really stuck like glue to the track so I did muck with the handling a whole lot:) Hopfully with my new powerplant I will have to much power and have to work on getting more grip and handling out of the car. hi I did an overlay of carbon on my bonnet. Its exactly the same a fibreglassing execpt it cost more Idealy you should use epoxy resin but I did it with polyester resin and it worked ok. Ash

What state you in? I have a box of 2 door door parts but there are a few different doors for the 2 seater so if you are in melbourne you could bring a door by and we could dig all the bits out Ash

Hi Rev I run a 3.7 in the racecar and a 3.9 in the road car. both are std zed diffs (well ratios anyway ) I always thought 4.1 was a little to much but thats just my 2 cents worth Ash
