I had to go back to second in honda and then short shift into 3rd just on the exit to settle the car. (240z box std ratios with 3.7 diff) ash

Got my race car Dyno today and found these guys to be really good. Workshop was clean and the owner Gary explained everything as he dyno the car. Interesting day and now I actually get whats going on Chev's Performance Centre 35 Aster Ave, Carrum Downs 9776 8833 They charge $100 an hour for tuning. He doesn't tune carbie cars only efi. ash

Got it done at Chev's performance centre in Carrun downs 9776 8833 Really good bunch of guys. The owner Gary took his time and explained the whole process to me. Cost me $100 which I think is pretty good

Man that is soo much money I rekon you could make and engine for less maybe buy in a 370z twin turbo motor. Sure its a cool its cool but I think an RB is a way better and cheaper and more advanced motor ash

I'm going to get my racecar put on the dyno this weekend and thought it would be fun to do a poll on what everyone think the rwkw will be. Its got an Rb25det running 10 pound of boost, Std computer, front mount intercooler, and straight out exhaust. getting it done on a Dyno Dynamics Dynamometer in shoot out mode (don't know if this makes it more or less accurate) Ash

When Ross built it he was running as a 2B marquesports car. The guy who is selling has done heaps more mods to it but it would still be eligable for 2B. Guess it makes the 240z shell with a logbook I paid $200 worth putting back together hey ash

I used to run a 3.7 with 16x10 285 tyres (dunlop slicks) with about 250-280hp motor. There is only one 240z that I know of that did quicker times than me which is Tom Cantwells car but Im not sure what diff he ran. hope that helps Its a great track and you are going to love it! Maybe there will be another zed quicker than mine after you run there Ash

I think the admin needs to edit this add title as it is clearly not a close ratio or option 1 box Its the std 240z ratios. Its is a good box to have as they are better than the later 280zx boxes (as far a ratios go, not as strong though) The option 1 close ratio box was: 2.8 1.97 1.47 1.192 1 to 1 5th Still as lurch says as a complete setup its not a bad buy. to get a std 240z box recond and get the syncos its not cheap Ash

Sounds like the pin that holds the selector fork has broken. Happend to me a calder with my racecar and I was stuck in second. I now double roll pin them Ash

I was wondering about the crank curdle (brearing brace thingy) Might have to give it a shot. Jane they are actually the same length (think it may be the angle of the camera) Yer would be nice to bolt th rb head to the l block but it is alot of mucking around. You would have to also do somthing about the belt/ chain issue! Ash
