thanks nate, its greatly appreshiated i did get one off zedophile but didn't realise the back of it was cracked, which i could repair so aint that big a deal, but i still need the other side!

...can someone pick me up some front indicators/parkers? i'm getting semi desperate! even if its just the passenger side one it doesn't matter if the front lenses is cracked, preferably 240z ones but 260z ones are fine, you can charge commission if you want i'd love to go but am busy all weekend. my numbers 0421 929 636 if someone wants to msg me to double check that i will actully cough up the amount wanted for them etc, i'm thinking around the $50 mark?

hehe mines not even half standard, would be interested to see what it produces though i guess, not sure if i'm $30 interested to find out its basically nothing! the only mod i know of is 240z carbs :roll:

yep, i am unsure, hence y i asked, so no offence taken at all! and thanks for ur reply. i had my car at top performance and they drove it up their ramp thing and from that were like...something's wrong with ur steering, but yeah i haven't had the time to look at it or have it looked at as sad as that is, but have a week off in a couple of weeks so prob will then i'm thinking the wheel on it mustn't have been balanced too as after rotating them it feels like a completely different car to drive and the shaking isn't there at the steering wheel, but you can still wabble the wheel so :? i'll try to see if my dad's able to help me replace the bearing sometime as he atleast has some idea! i did come across a thread about it on one of the other sites, and i would like to learn how to do stuff so might be the way to go, i just dont want to b stuck without a car to drive!

as i said in another thread my steering wabbles quite violently at over 80km/h, although it depends if there is any load on the wheel, so when going straight the wheel shakes up and down about 2cm, but when i'm turning slightly it stops, there is also a rather large null zone when the car is stopped if you go and grab the top of the front wheels and shake you can move it backwards and fowards and hear a clicking sound, alot more obviously on the front right wheel, and i think the noise heard when doing this to the front left side is coming from the right wheel... i was just rotating my tyres and when putting the front right wheel back on i noticed that the studs kinda moved, so i played with it a bit and i can move basically the whole disc rotar and studs etc probably only 1mm or so but you can hear it clunk, like what happens when you shake the wheel, and the silver cap thing at the end of the axel can move it all too (where the bearing is housed?), so i'm thinking mayb the bearing has gone? anyone have suggestions?

you could always paint them after if you changed your mind, although probably alot easier to get it right the first time! i like the dark centres too, but think i prefer the black look...although ricers do atm too :S

the best one i've seen so far besides all the word ones has been SIL80, which i'm guessing someone would be quite happy to part with a bit of money for, if only i'd thought of it first! there's a guy i've gotten a few bits off who has sxy240 sxy260 and sxy280, but all in normal plates, he just saw those letters were coming up and hunted around to find them, kinda cool, so they dont look custom but kinda are... i was thinking RBZ250 if i put an rb25 in it, or 1JZED would b mad for a 1jz engine conversion, although you can't have a number first so DAT1JZ has been the best i can think of so far for that...and anything else with DAT substituted for THAT is cool i think i'd prefer the look of a slimline on the back as then it would be centred vertically on the panel...but then ?

on the phone to insurance companies i was asked if i had a 2.2, 2.6, 2.8 or 5.7 litre engine as all were factory options :roll: hehe

thanks for the tip, i'm not a member of the ndsoc and have asked companies if it makes much of a difference to see if it would justify the $65 joining fee hehe. gio said it doesn't change anything unless you want it to have limited km's etc and is a show car well after calling more companies again and reading through gio's product disclosure thingy i'm going to switch over to them at the start of next month. my current company said they couldn't come close to matching gio's prices unless i changed my DOB and even then its more! so i've ended up getting it insured as a 9g car for $316.35 :shock: no limit on the amount i drive it, with an excess of $850 due to my age :?. the only issue my parents have raised is that gio is knock for knock or something so even if i'm not a fault there is a large chance they will make me pay my excess? but the way i see it, it'll be better than some other company telling me my car's only worth 3.5g like it was previously insured for so screwing me over that way! so glad my car finally turned 30! although on this gio paper work it says the cover is for cars >31...but they are the ones who told me it was my only option so?

what sort of times were you running compared to other cars? seems pretty dam even with that 350z

i think my bearings need replacing, something in my steering definately does (the steering wheel shakes about 2cm when in a "null zone", like on freeways etc, when i turn though it stops, although sometimes slight turning is worse) and then i'd LIKE to upgrade my brakes and get coilovers along with an lsd, my question is has anyone looked into the price of doing this all at once via like s13 or r33 parts which i know has been done, or whichever supra IRS that was talked about in that zedbra article (which i can't find any info on) instead of all seperately? just since lsds are like $1000+, brakes like atleast $750 for front and rear discs? coilovers approching $3000...so thats the price of a silvia... and then i assume you could run just standard rims off whichever car you got the parts off so eliminates having to have rarer rims with a low offset...but then that destroys the lip i know that it would be a fair bit of custom work...but to some degree it seems like it would be less, particually if swapping in an engine from one of these cars...almost seems like you could buy a complete car (say a 1990 tt supra) and steal all the parts from it and sell the bits you dont need and still have spent about the same all up after the engine conversion etc! either way i'm still going to get the koni's in and fix the steering, just thinking about if i should do small bit's here and there or just save up and do it all at once

my gf flat spotted both her rear brakes in an accident (still managed to stop in time surprisingly...but person behind went into the back of her) so i put my spare on her 87 cressida which has the same stud pattern and offset, so i was wondering if anyones ever done a rear disc conversion from one of them... what diameter rims do you need to clear those ones you're buying sulio?

yeah the only issue gav is i'm after black ones, i emailed him about postage and it was only around $20-30US anyways. i was considering buying some still and painting/powder coating them but seems like a waste...so then i thought leave them chrome and then if i dont like them then i could always paint htem...but i'm 99% sure i want black ones, u get my email about what numbers ur koni's r?

well i called shannons, they wanted $1000 a year with a 700 excess due to my age for it to be insured as a $5500 car , unique cars wanted a bit less but their excess was twice of shannons, and shannons give you free windscreen replacement once a year or something? but yeah, i called gio and for a bit under $300 they'll insure it as a $5500 car with a $750 excess but i get the car back if its written off ($60 less if i dont want to get it back, but i'm guessing it'd b worth getting it back for something...) so yeah just going to read into it more when they send the stuff out, i dont think i'll be limited driving wise as they didnt mention it, just as soon as i said the yr of the car they said well you get full comp for basically the price of 3rd party if i said i wanted it insured as a 7g car do they ever inspect it to say it is worth 7g or ?
