hehe yes they were painted different greens... all i'm saying is this dont look like mine...http://zhome.com/History/ZColorGallary/240Green.jpg and none of them really do...

i was just wondering if any s30's ever came out in australia with fender mirrors? just because i remember that $30g+ orginal 240 that was for sale (on carpoint?) and it had them. either way do you think they would be availible to purchase through Nissan? or would you have to get them from japan? i have the sr240z car as my bg and can't stop thinking about that look! anyone have some black fender mirrors for sale? hehe, i reakon they'd look nicer on a dark green car after seeing this one with chrome mirrors

hey nate, just wondering what colour green ur car was, just interested in if its code 240 like mine or another one, as i havn't seen one that looks the same as my colour, they all seem to be more of a rich green or lighter, on the colour code chart thats on the net somewhere the 240 colour one seems to be different too (mine looks more yellow?)...so would they have doubled up on paint colours from 240z's to 260z's, if so sounds like a stupid thing to do to me...i was thinking mayb my car was resprayed a variation of the orginal colour but the engine bay and stuff is the same and my cars only had a crappy respray.

         now thats alot of dish  very nice choice, i reakon they are nicer than the work ones up top! i want them in black/dark grey or that hyperchrome!!!!

as far as i know they are the same, obviously not made by the same company but i would of thought the person who makes them in sale would of just molded one from america or japan since they seem to be over there also. i dont get if nate is saying they are the same or not, either way i'm happy, looks nice and close enough to the same to me hehe, i havn't noticed it being lower than the rest of the car, it kinda looks like it is as the sides of the zed curve in but... with my stock suspension i can park in 90 degree parks and not worry, have an inch or so of clearance, atleast i did the other day when i realised how far foward i had parked and that was on a park that was slopping downwards... personally unless there's some difference i dont know i'd get the one from sale as its sure to work out cheaper than getting it from america. on classiczcars a user buy the name of deus ex got one from the guy in sale, think postage was only around $30 to him in qld...his is in much nicer condition than mine as his was brand new, mine isn't perfect...the top layer of fibre is missing in spots...come to the meet, i went before i even had a zed, great experience

if only they were the correct size for use with flares...
zedevan replied to zedevan's topic in Wheels and Tyres
yeah the earlier silvias are 4X114.3, i think the series 2 ones are 5X114.3, nate can correct me if i'm wrong, i always thought they needed a fair bit more offset than that, but there's pics of it on a silvia so...would be interesting to try them on and see if they fit (either way my car would need to be lowered hehe) but he's in sydney...also for that price you could probably almost bring in some nice second hand rims from japan like the work ones on gavs car up the top, i perfer the more metalic look of them rather than the full on chrome but hey, for 1g i'd buy those rims hehe just thought i'd post them here incase someone else wanted them, thanks for the info sulio on the price spacers would be, very small compared to the price of the rims, i think i should spend my money elsewhere for now... this is a company that will bid on yahoo japan for you, there's a set of chrome and matt black fender mirrors there atm for 18000yen, which after postage and paying them works out to be 300-400...pretty expensive mirrors....anyone know of somewhere else to get them? hehe http://www.slidewizeimports.com/ -

http://www.initialdrift.com.au/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3825 now they are some nice rims...so tempting they look two piece, does that mean it would be possible to get them widened at a later stage? anyone ever looked into how much it costs to do this? is the offset on them a bit to positive? -
Lexus LFA is it just me or does this look like a 240z? possibliy even crossed with an s15 and the new jag concept and aston martins. i'm not a huge fan of the front but after looking at the new lexus IS350 i can see where they are coming from with it...can u tell i should be studying? hehe

yeah the spoiler i have is availible from Shane in Sale on 03 51445845, there's a thread on the spoilers here, personally i think its out of the one i've got or the one with ducts at the top of that thread, unless your after a specific look!
-
hey sulio here's some very similar mirrors; f1 style mirrors getting them with carbon flares bonnet and rear tail light bit sure would look cool, but i think i perfer the look of fender mirrors, keep changing my mind, but its good to see what they would look like on a zed, sure looks nice...

yeah looks beautiful, very special how the front page shows so much of whats happening in the forum!

well i say look to ferrari for inspiration, red and cream (or white if thats wat u want, sounds hard to keep clean to me), i'm going to keep mine cream and have black seats and dash, and was thinking about doing the top parts of the door trim black like whats in alot of modern euro cars but was thinking it might look tacky...i'll wait and see

16 & 17 inch Superlites from Performance Wheels
zedevan replied to Toecutter's topic in Wheels and Tyres
when'd u get the 240z sulio? i want info and pics hehe, i was thinking the same sorta thing, like flare a 260z (and put in a more modern engine) and get a 240z and keep it stock...well with an L series, so have the best of both worlds -

zedevan replied to Toecutter's topic in Wheels and Tyres
they sound nice Sulio! i've always wondered what the 17" compomotive watanabe style rims looks like on a zed, anyone ever found a pic of old school 17"? those ones you bought will prob look like the ones ^^^^ up there, should look nuts -
i'm a fan of shaved indicators but i like the zed vent behind the side windows along with the headlight bucket line. i reakon some clear side indactors off a 3 series (the triangle shaped ones) would look nice behind the front wheels or the vent from vz commodores or something similar, but that would require more effort and a zed shouldn't b brought down to using parts from a commonwhore hehe (but still could look nice)
-
that was nuts, really makes me want to do susspension, seats and lights on my car. sorry to anyone i made get lost! hopefully we dont recieve any letters regarding loss of licences...hehe
-
if i was going to go for a goldy colour i'd go a dark grey gold like what is on some of the x5's i think, here are some colours i'd like to see on a zed, i personally think you should do the bmw dark green off like hte current 5 series (can't find a pic of it, but here's one of a 7 series althoguh i think the colour might b a bit diferent) but if u dont do it then i just might dark grey also looks sick like www.sr240z.com *also the orange off the "smaller" lambo would be sweet to see on a zed specially if the mirrors off it were used. for my car i want to keep the cream interior so i perfer the contrast of it against a basically black car that gets colour on it when light hits it, although cream and red looks good ofcourse and its a very timeless colour...
-
sounds good and ends near my house so i'm interested! this is a stupid question but i'm just wondering if since my car is stock and i dont plan on going over 25 over if i'll be able to keep up? (as i need my licence) -evan
-
so are you sick of your c5's? i'm going to polish some of my stock rims, and hopefully after the work of polishing them they will actully be on my car for a bit hehe. but after christmas i should definately have the money to throw into some rims or whatever else grabs my attention... but anyway back to the topic, how much for some watanbes landed hehe, on skylinesaustralia there seems to be someone there that is constantly bringing in rims off yahoo japan so i was thinking when i had the money i might ask him or anyone else i can find
-
yeah that style but alot more dish as the offset was 0 or thereabouts, there's currently a pair of them on toymods with like +38 offset, but the dish is what makes it hmmmm i'd just want to get the right offset and width for not having coilovers, unless i get that serious about the suspension...speaking of which, when i actully do my tax so i get it back i think its time for some sway bars and strut braces hehe
-
also that size and offset you quoted sulio, does it require coilovers? or just flares?
-
i dont know, i asked a guy who just got some longchamp xr6's i think they are called (the old school 6 spoke ones) in 14X6 brought in from japan and the set of 4 cost him $670 but he said the guy he went though will only bring in a maximum size of 14X7. there was a pair of 16X9 watanabe rs8's on toymods a while back for $500 that i'm kinda wishing i had bought...but was worried about locating another pair
-
thanks nate, yeah i'd love to get my hands on some carbon fibre flares and nice fat rims, and the bonnet and front spoiler would finish it off nicely too hehe. do you know if ash plays with carbon fibre too? (as he has the molds for the flares yeah?) i'm debating weather to get these rims or not, u've probably seen them on toymods, but yeah would need spacers and they are only 15" (i think in the photoshopping i may of made them 16" hehe) but i think i'll let them pass and hold off until i can afford nice fat ones with flares... i've seen a few bmw's round the dark green colour you were talking about and dam its nice, i've had one park next to me before and there is so much more depth in it and its such a classy colour, where sometimes the green of my car doesn't look that great

"It's a full set of four, they'll drop the car around 1.5" and are a 20% increase in rate on the stock springs. Fronts are 175lb and the rears are 180lb units." should i buy them? how much would u pay for them as they are second hand, i think they are around 4 years old. they are for 260z 2 seater i believe but will work in 240z also...or mayb the other way around?...how hard are they to put in? thanks -evan

yeah for some reason my attachments aren't working, i'll try again. did u get my pm sulio? yeah i was attaching to big a file and was to stupid to see the bit where it told me so but here it is...
