  1. By the way a blue Notchback Coupe has been sitting here for months. https://goo.gl/maps/UMjTGB7Jc422 I'm not sure if it's still there, but when I would drive to the Tafe Course I'd see it all the time. Some minor panel damage from memory..
  2. The notchback version was ever so slightly 'nicer' than the lift back but I could never bring myself to like them. At least the RA60 paved way for the Mark 1 Supra which is a nice looking car. Then again I love the C110 240K Coupe's and other odd ball cars like the Mazda Luce R130 coupe. If we are talking early Toyota Celica's the TA22 is the best in my opinion.
  3. Confirmed. https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=Gosford%20Classic%20Car%20Museum%20240z
  4. Nice cars, your Fairlady Z has the same wheels as my early 240z, and I've seen them on a lot of S30z's here. I kind of loathed them at first, but have started to actually like them a little. Do you know if your Fairlady Z is a Z-S or Z-L? Does it have a Rally Clock and foot rest in passenger foot well?
  5. Have you got 1 to share?
  6. Member: Sydney Mike had a photo of HS30 00233 I'm sure he shared it at 1 point on here. Will ask him for it. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/11506-long-term-projects-and-your-loved-ones/?p=136369 It was Safari Gold and was in Sydney.
  7. Just put these on eBay at a higher price, because eBay wants their pound of flesh.. Happy to sell at the lower price $175 + postage for forum members here instead. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/-/262274077770
  8. Possibility that HS30 00695 (Ex Edward Lee car) is now at the Gosford Automotive Museum as the 71 240z;
  9. This information sounds about right. The photos of the wreck were taken at a workshop in Cardiff (near Newcastle). After the car was written off it was sent to the NRMA salvage auction at Gateshead near Newcastle. Seems a shame now, but 15 years ago it probably wasn't worth repairing...
  10. I saw a good video of a German mechanic using a copper scraper to clean the engine valve cover gasket surface. Copper is soft so won't damage the alloy head. So should give you a smooth surface when replacing the gasket.
  11. You are more brave than I, I would have left it patina for a bit and enjoyed it. New paint means you have to be careful and the first couple of stone chips always hurt.
  12. Gotcha... http://www.justauto.com.au/justcars/cars-for-sale/1971-DATSUN-240Z-SPORTS-JCFD3553642 HS30 00695 L24 031239 Paint Code: 918 Kalahari Tan Interior: Black Previous reg was: AZ82CF AD Posted Aug 25, 2014 Yet car was first spotted on eBay back in 2013 (maybe earlier?) http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/45592-not-ebay-but-hs3000695/ I know at least 1 member hit the buy it now, only to get no response. More 'bait' ads from Mr Lee's. Yeah 1 owner, apart from the second owner called Phil....
  13. Here is an interesting car. HS30 00879 also known as TKS33 SA 3640 Kevin Bristow's ex-Works 1971 Datsun 240Z rally car With engine: L24 039427 http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/32332-works-rally-240z-resto-featured-in-octane-magazine/ Article on it here: http://www.autotraderclassics.com/car-article/King+of+the+RAC+_+Datsun+240Z+rally+car+restoration-55346.xhtml I bought Octane magazine years ago when living in Europe and I was sure I brought it back with me, but now I can't find it anywhere! So looks like i'll have to get another copy. If memory serves correct this car didn't have the Safari cylinder head (part no. 11041-E4621), rather it was a highly modified E30 head? Check out those megaphones!
  14. LOL, look how big modern cars have become. It's ridiculous. When I drive the 240z around Melbourne it feels so small compared to everything else.
  15. Considering they come with loom, housing and lens with fasteners and gaskets. I think it's a very reasonably priced reproduction and it looks accurate also. If you do order them be sure to give us feedback on what you think.
  16. I thought you had a 240z until I saw your other video and realised it was a 260z 2+2. So yeah I was referring to the colour, but it's likely not 907 if it is a 260z.
  17. I originally thought this was the car that Ron Carter built many years back, but this appears to be ever so slightly different in terms of some small details.
  18. 26125-E4500 26120-E4500 Expect to pay up to $800-$900 AU for NOS. So reproduction might not be a bad idea...
  19. To embed a video don't make the Youtube link into an actual link, rather just copy / paste the URL as regular text and the 'parser' will detect it as a Youtube video and insert the embed code automatically. Looks like you have a 907 Green 240z. Nice!
  20. HS30 00137 is here: http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/11605-new-member-240z/
  21. Lens or housing?
  22. Agreed, it's not a 2 seater part. It is part of the rear seats.
  23. 240z and 74 260z tank. 74+ tank (260z). The eBay link looks like a 240z tank to me.
  24. The Mikuni's were sold a couple of weeks ago. I know who bought them. Good deal. Just thought I'd post a link to this seller. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/kallaroo/auto-body-parts/nissan-280zx-coupe/1101947605 I bought the analog clock from this guy and he's sent it today (hopefully it arrives), he offered it for free if I came around to collect, but he's in WA so that wasn't going to work. He said he was hoping to offload more stuff haha. So if you're after 280zx stuff might be worth getting in contact as he might want to get rid of stuff cheap.
  25. Mystery 71 240z. This was a car that was parted out to save another car. 1 owner car from Cassino NSW that had been T boned. It had later pillar vents, E88 cylinder head, storage bins, fender mirrors, a 71A gearbox and choke/hand throttle set up. So it would have been a 71 model. Does anyone know the car or what number it might have been?
