It's about time I stop lurking and say hi.

Hey guys

 

I have been lurking here for god knows how long, but finally think it's time

My love for Z's started eons ago as my old man had an import company and we had a 240z for a customer when I was about 13/14, skipping forward 7 years and I met my now wife who had a burnt orange 260z with a l30e in it, built by her grandfather (top bloke is helping me with my current swap and hes well into his 70's). It got written off and we used the insurance coin to buy a 280zx as we couldn't afford another 260 (The last one as it was with the l30 cost us $1500). I have been looking around here for a long time and been a active Hybrid Z member but noticed you guys here are alot friendlier and also based in this amazing country.

 

So yeah I'm currently in the process of just rebuilding my first l28e, nothing fancy just a little bit of headwork, new pistons,  rods, cam, crank, new timing gear and valves and just rebuilding it from the ground up.  The engine is currently at the machine shop and picking it up next week to be in and going by Christmas

 

And that's about it. I look forward to many hours of information and learning as much as I can from you god damn brilliant people.
