tbscobraZ Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Hi, as mentioned in my project journal I'm looking to swap my 260Z 2+2 for a 240Z. As far as the type of 240Z I'm looking for I don't have high standards but straight body is an important factor. My 260Z is in reasonable condition and will hopefully be running.[it was roadworthy and drivable before]. Please see my project thread for pics. Please feel free to contact me either by PM or reply. Thanks regards Tom. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,5170.0.html Quote
tbscobraZ Posted November 29, 2012 Author Posted November 29, 2012 No not a joke. Obviously a 240Z is worth more in the same condition. I'm after a 240Z in not so amazing condition. I would also be willing to throw extra cash in for the right car. Now car we stick to people with serious inquiries instead of dipsticks with their comments. Quote
RB30X Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 I think the dipsticks are suggesting that you'll be hard up finding someone to swap their desirable 240z for the less than desirable 2+2. Usually its the people with the 2+2's (like yourself) that want to go the other way. Quote
stevofoxono Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Seems a little rich accusing others of being a dipstick when youre trying to swap a 2+2 for a 2 seater, just sayin Quote
peter t Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Not the first time. Benny wanted to exchange his 240 for a 2+2 some time back. Quote

luvemfast Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Rather than trying a trade. Sell your 2+2 and then buy a 240. There will be more people wanting a 2+2 than current 240 owners, looking for a bus. Problem solved. Quote
lightmaster240z Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 As much as it pains me to say it but that is what Bozo did Quote
luvemfast Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 As much as it pains me to say it but that is what Bozo did Correct. And that bus was really nice. And still no one wanted to trade. Just sell it Tom and then buy the best 240Z you can afford! Quote
MaygZ Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Correct. And that bus was really nice. And still no one wanted to trade. Just sell it Tom and then buy the best 240Z you can afford! This pains me to say .... I can't say it .... be strong! I agree with Sheldon and Bozo did it the best way. I think I just threw up in my mouth. Quote
peter t Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 No ones getting my bus untill I die. Just think about it, if there are two helgas on the side of the road wanting a lift, how are you going to fit both of them in a 2 seater. Quote

I can't believe you opened that can of worms: One in the passenger seat the other on your fa..... Coming dear. I'll have to finish this another time. Quote
tbscobraZ Posted November 30, 2012 Author Posted November 30, 2012 Yeah RB30X, I think that's what I will end up doing. I just wanted to see if I could get any interest doing it this way because it is much easier for me. Then a zed stays in the driveway! As it should be. I've made a reasonable request and obviously a 240Z is worth more. I would obviously deal around that. Its more the fact that I don't want to be stuck searching for a 240Z project that suits me, after getting rid of my baby. However with such an extensive build planned its the only thing that makes sense. Quote
tbscobraZ Posted December 1, 2012 Author Posted December 1, 2012 If anyone is interested in buying this outright, please feel free to contact me on 0404288344. Pictures and details are in my project thread which is linked in the first post of this thread. Thanks Quote
