New magazine looking for Zeds

Hey fellas, Im writing to you guys as I was approached by a guy here in Canberra who is starting a new mag called Ultimate Street Machine. Anyway, they are looking for a 240, a 260 and a 280 in as original and good condition as they can. So if you think your car is worthy, these guys would travel to you and take pics and I would be surprised if you didnt get dosh.

Let me know if you are keen asap before someone else gets in!!

hahaha, yeh i know, maybe later if i redo the interior and put the front bar and flares on with a cage, he might see it as a worthy cause, but im not really too caring as i built the car for me, not everyone else. If they dont like it, thats their problem.

Also though, be careful as this is a scam used by smart car thieves, it's easy to get all the info they need such as where it is kept and and imobilisation devices you might have.

 

As you say they are looking for bog stock restored cars so this makes me even more sus as this is what they would want in Japan, and it wouldn't be difficult to reg over their, papers are very easily forged. Or even salvage them out here in Oz they would still be worth alot of money in indivdual bits, especially if they didn't pay for them in the first place :wink:

 

I could be wrong but it's always a good idea to check things out.

Nah hes legit, most of the people here on the forum im on know him in person and from other forums too, I havent met him, but a lot of people i know vouch for him. But yeh it is a good idea to play things safe.

ye tbh sydney sucks for z's. damn mexicans taking all our cars too. the thing with sydney is it has a fair few z's but it's mostly the older guys that own them and well they don't exactly cruise them on fri/sat night.

Well George, send me some pics, you never know. If it is very clean and original, then you might get in there. I just dont want to see the same old zeds getting into magazines like the silver with orange stripe which seems to get shown everywhere.

Sure mate, but you have lots of competition, I have only one 2 seater and 3 2+2s. This is all dependant on whther they will actually do the 2=2 aswell, so i dont want to get peoples hopes up, not to mention they might find their own too, like i said, im just trying to get you guys the opportunity that i cant have

Just taking the piss mate. I have plenty more design ideas for my Z .

 

I haven't painted my car yet. I might just wait till I come back from OS. I still need to get back some parts from you know who .

Ok, just updating, I spoke to the guy i sent the pics to, unfortunately the guy doing the article walked out and left them dry and they are playing catch up.  He hasnt ruled out the article, but it has been postponed indefinately.  I will let you know when i know something.
