Hi all,

Recently registered on forum and told by son (Luvemfast) that I should introduce myself.

Have had an interest in Datsuns for many years and being a foundation member and Life member of NDSOC, I have had many Datsuns & Nissans, including below.

Past:

1965 Fairlady 1500 sports, 1966 Fairlady 1600 sports, 1967 Fairlady 2000 sports ( for 7 years), 1969  Fairlady 2000 sports, 1976 260Z 2 + 2 (for 17 years),  1975 260Z 2 seater.

Currently:

280 ZX 2 seater (shared with Luvemfast), 1986 200ZR (soon for sale), and recently purchased 280ZX Scuderia from Dave-hl.

Hoping to get the new 280 going soon. (and then beating Simon on the track). Needs some minor body work, new ecu Etc.

Finally sold 200ZR and started on Scuderia 280ZX and changed name to Whoray.

Repairs to front spoiler damage and smashed drivers mirror. Small areas of rust treated and painted. (Bonnet, left front guard, rear hatch,  around fuel filler, passenger door)

EFI removed and triple 44 Mikuni's and new fuel pump fitted.  New brake pads fitted all round.

Of course woudn't start, finally worked out that timing was not standard. Moved leads one position and it started after unknown years idle, although rough and backfiring badly.

Simon came round 2 days later and without him touching anything it started and ran well without backfires. Guess it was just his presence.

They are old pics of car. I'm really surprised with how good it's come up. Looking good  8)

I took some video on my iPhone of the lovely sound of triple Mikuni's. But it didn't work.  :(

It was surprisingly smooth in the way it revved!

I'm riding dad, whoray, to get it to the Xmas BBQ at Gordo's

Well I must apologize, I've been reading a book my 5 year old daughter wrote today. And I'm clearly stuck in the same writers zone.

It goes a little something like this.

"The Adventures of Harmony"

"One day Harmony was out playing. Then I saw a tree that was full of blackberries. Then I picked some blackberries.

I'm going camping today. I asked my mum to go camping with me. So we packed everything and left.

I asked my mum to see to do my big adventure and mum said yes!

We had so much fun, then I realized they forgot their lunch. They gone back home and we also forgot our breakfast.

Then we saw a funny thing. We saw a flying spider.

The End"

Still a better love story than Twilight!

Priceless Simon  ;)

As Simon said, when first started it had a leaking exhaust. Turned out to be non existant gasket between extractor and front pipe. Only 2 of 3 bolts holding it together. Replaced gasket and all good. Actually drove into garage for first time. Clutch seems good, brakes need bleeding after new pads installed.

Cut and polish and then inspection for Club plates.

Car had been swiped down drivers side before purchase leaving mirror in pieces and slight marks on panels.

Mirror stuck together and panels only needed cutting back.
