Agno Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Do those prices include freight? A complete rb30 is definitely not worth that much before freight. Quote

REAPER-831 Posted April 18, 2011 Author Posted April 18, 2011 HAHA very funny make fun of the new guy but seriously if those are ur prices before freight it seems a bit expensive. i thought comadors were common in AUS. like the vh45 here if not i'll probably go that direction. thanks for ur info very hmm educational Quote
REAPER-831 Posted April 18, 2011 Author Posted April 18, 2011 oh i forgot to mention thanks for the link very much appreciated Quote
MaygZ Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 G'day mate, stop stuffing around fellas. Let's face it the more VL Commodores that leave our shores, the better and safer our roads will be! Reaper, Commodores are way too common down here. Only one model ran the RB30. It was the VL and was made from 1985-1989(?). the engine also appeared in our early Nissan Skylines. You can find one down here for about $500. I can't vouch for the condition of the motor, but that should include everything from fan to flywheel. Obviously the sky is the limit if you are looking for a monster built one. Have a look on eBay.com.au. Don't forget the .AU Forgot to mention, for about $2000 you can get the whole car either a VL Commodore or a Skyline. The VL also came out in factory turbo and in Calias (which is a bit upspec in interior and gizmos, but not performance). I have no idea how much or what's involved in getting it over the puddle. Got to go, the neighbour's wallaby is fighting with my wombat again. If they wake the koalas, there will be hell to pay. MaygZ Quote
nizm0zed Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Hey reaper, if you can laugh at aussie humour and take it as a joke, then your part aussie Seriously though, RB30 blocks can be had here for a case of beer. Add another $100 and you usually get the whole car. Freight is a bitch though.... Quote
MaygZ Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 I think you dumb arses scared him off. If we had helped him, he may have started the California chapter and been very helpful with sourcing parts for us, but nooooo you guys wanted to take the pi$$ out of him. Why can't you all be more responsible .... like me Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted April 19, 2011 Moderators Posted April 19, 2011 We should fill a car freighter here with as many yellow VL's we can find and ship them to the US...RB30's would be there for everyone to enjoy! Then use the shells to make artificial reefs off the coast. Send the VN/VP's to Libya so they can mount M60's on the roof then we can see the burnt out shells after an attack so we can cheer! Quote
MaygZ Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 Oh mate. A VN wiff a M60 mounted on da roof so you could shoot it froo da sun roof mate. Dat would be fully sic maaate. Fully. But dont stand on da valooa seats wiff ya dirdy boots mate or I'll roundhouse kick you to da head mate. Youd need a prity big woofa to hear it ova da guns mate. Fully sick. Quote
REAPER-831 Posted April 20, 2011 Author Posted April 20, 2011 yea humor is a bit crude but humor none the less . and yes z parts are here in california by the hundreds and cheap i just saw a complete motor and trans from a 240z for $200 freight might be the same issue but thanks for the info i just sourced a l28 motor with webers and i have a e31 head for good compression. so i will go with that for now. untill i gather large sume of funds for the rb30/26 swap Quote
