Sirpent Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Hi I am currently taking expressions of interest for the following items as my build may be taking a different direction as far as drive train. I have a set of triple 40DCOE Webbers with a Cannon manifold. pics to follow, these need re-build kits put through them but are in very good condition for age, all mechanisms are operational and there is no siezure in any of their functions, they come with a Cannon intake manifold. Also, i have a set of square port extractors running 1 1/2 inch extraction pipes into dual 2 inch dump pipes. Once again, only expressions of interest at this stage. Cheers John Quote
Sirpent Posted February 12, 2011 Author Posted February 12, 2011 A few PM's for pic's, these are the parts mentioned, apart from removing a few of the retaining screws to inspect the internals on the webbers and a heap of dust on them, as stated they are in good working order, no siezures in the butterflys or chokes totally free movement. Sirpent Posted February 24, 2011 Author Posted February 24, 2011 Hi, I decided to clean and overhaul the Weber's and Cannon manifold, so here are a few pics of them stripped down, soda blasted and in the initial process of being reassembled. I will be fitting new gaskets and also soft mounts along with new assy screws, there are no seizures to any of the operating components including the chokes and all is freely operating. I decided to post them here now while I'm still prepping them, as soon as they are finished and assembled I will put them on Ebay along with the Extractors for Buy it now $1600.00 Because of the investment of getting them to re-con condition, the price is no longer $1300.00 for the lot. However if there are any interested members now, the Forum price is $1500.00 for the lot, no hagling. Cheers John Quote

I'm interested in your sweet deal - but have some serious schmoozing to do at home to get it past the minister. What shape/size are the ports on the extractors? I may be displaying my consumate ignorance here, but I have a P90 with 35mm square ports and I'm pretty sure that the ever popular 88 has smaller ports and the almost as popular 79 has round ports. I'm so confused. Just remembering this stuff means I can't remember my phone number now Quote
Sirpent Posted February 24, 2011 Author Posted February 24, 2011 Simon They are square port, the port size is width 30 mm by Height 40mm, but there is a fair amount of meet on the manifold plate, so porting them 2.5mm wider on each side wouldnt be a major job nor have an effect on the manifold plates structual integrity. Sirpent Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 OK, Last post on this matter, before posting them for sale on EBay in the morning. These are the completed triples all fitted up bar the 4 RAM tubes. I only have 4 tubes which have been burnished to remove a whole lot of surface contamination, they are still useable however i would suggest having them re-chromed for maximum effect and longevity. All nuts, bolts and washers have been replaced with STAINLESS alternatives. Soft mounts have been fitted. New gaskets have been fitted, A complete new linkage set of my own design and construction has been fitted, the operation is smooth precise and will allow for very fine adjustment when tuning. These come together with the Extractors shown and as seen in these pics. I have spent a load getting them to this point right down to the last Thackery and locking washers, and spent probably the best part of 20 hours in prepping time, I am happy to supply receipts as to what was replaced and supplied on them which comes in at close to $500..00 I am firm on the price now due to the investment I have made in them. $1,700.00 Cheers John Quote
