gilltech Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Has anybody bought one of the repro 240Z front bumpers advertised on eBay & if so does it fit up OK? Quote
stevo_gj Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 From what I remember they may not come with brackets? Which means you will have to weld them on - not sure how this might affect the chrome finish of the bumper. This was awhile ago though they might have added brackets since. Quote
mossy Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Why don't you have a look at the ones from harrington group in stainless steel, I think Adam got these for the brown hornet. Plus they also come with new rubbers Quote
benny Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 they have addressed the issue and now have brackets!! Quote
fufu Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Latest images within my journal has the ebay bumper installed. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,1756.255.html Quote
KatoKid Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Bumper looks good in the pics, how did they fit though? Quote
gilltech Posted November 21, 2010 Author Posted November 21, 2010 Mossy, in stainless steel? That would be the goods! I'll see if I can track them down. Much obliged for the lead. Quote
mossy Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 I'm going to buy some myself soon, here is the link http://www.groupharrington.com/en/part/36/datsun-240z-and-260z-bumpers.html Quote
gilltech Posted November 23, 2010 Author Posted November 23, 2010 Mossy, thanks for the heads-up. They look to be good value with our $ high, a bit dearer than aftermarket chrome + rubbers plus freight still to be added, but they sure won't rust out - stainless steel is the goods. Looks like they don't do the over-riders though - I don't think the UK market cars had over-riders from looking through my various books. Quote
KatoKid Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Any one interested in seeing what we can get in a group buy? Quote
Bruce Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Any one interested in seeing what we can get in a group buy? If the group buy is for the bars in QLD, I have contacted them before about a group buy and the price was the same regardless of quantity including the postage. If you get a different response this time I'd be interested, cheers Bruce Quote
